The Distant Continent of Heloin and neighbouring Islands
The land of Heloin has always been home to numerous tribes of the wilderness, each with their own claim of land which other tribes do not dare to tresspass upon unless they wish to start a war. Many years ago, the scholar Iggathrad the Blind traversed the entire island, speaking with each tribe and sketching out the border of their territory. Upon returning to civilised lands, Iggathrad compiled his findings into a small atlas which focused on Heloin.
This book, titled "The Distant Continent of Heloin and neighbouring Islands," is actually quite unreliable in the present day. Since Iggathrad left, tribal borders have changed dramatically as certain tribes war with each other and some are wiped out completely. Nevertheless, that atlas is still used, and any explorer worth their weight in copper carries a copy with them on their voyage into the unknown lands. Interestingly enough, not one explorer has yet returned to correct the mistakes of the current maps...
