Their clothing and armor are dyed in hues of deep blues, silver, and seafoam green.   Some wear full armor in the color of their specific post.   Weapons are sleek and curved, resembling naginata, curved swords (katana), or tridents.   Monks often wear minimalist garments with sashes that flow like water, symbolizing grace and adaptability.   Tenets (Kaijin’s Path):   1. Flow Like Water: Be adaptable and calm, but strike decisively when the moment demands.   2. The Flame Burns Calmly: Violence is the last resort, wielded only when all else fails.   3. Carry the Breeze: Inspire peace and balance in others through your actions.   4. Preserve the Tides: Protect life and harmony, like rivers nourishing the land.   5. Winds Shape the Waves: Embrace change and use it to grow stronger.   Cultural Practices:   Waters Reflection (Mizu no hansha): Before every major battle, warriors meditate around a sacred pool in the heart of the city deep underground, reflecting on their purpose and calming their spirits. If they are not in the city they will carry a flask of its water which must be poured into a silver bowl before meditation.   The Dance of Blades (Katanamai): A graceful display of swordsmanship performed during festivals to celebrate balance and mastery.   The Ember Pilgrimage (Enkou-Meiso): Every five years, members of the Order undertake a solitary journey to the sacred volcanic springs of Hojinryu to meditate and reflect on their vows.

History

The Still Flame Order was established over a millennium ago by the legendary samurai Ishikaji Tamako, who brought peace to the feuding dwarven clans of Mir Buldahr. Inspired by the philosophy of Magarikunetta Ogawa No Nagare (The Flow of the Winding Brook), Tamako teaches what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger — When it rains, earth hardens (ame futte chikatamaru)   Through disciplined training, meditation, and diplomacy, the Order grew into a powerful force, serving as protectors of the dwarven people and custodians of justice. Their most famous victory, the Battle of the Squall Valley, saw them repel an invading horde of Grym without drawing their swords, using tactical brilliance and negotiation.
