Hrothag's Diary
The bastardized sylvan script in this diary is skewed and messy, and the lines spread across the entire page, leaving no blank space in the margins. The writings become more and more disturbing with each page.
One passage stands out to the reader toward the end of the scribbling:
One passage stands out to the reader toward the end of the scribbling:
The Frozen Night. That is what she calls it. The long dark eternity into which I will plunge the world. As the pack must be culled, so must all the world be culled, for there are far too many lambs among the wolves. These fools at the Abbey have no idea what I have become. They will soon see. The world will see. The Queen of Air and Darkness demands it. She is my power, my strength, and my life, and I will deliver to her the plague of the Frozen Night! The diary then describes a process of harvesting winter wolf breath for the purpose of creating a sickness identical to that which has befallen Burfell. But before the final steps to reproduce the disease can be described, the writing ends.
The script in this diary is a foul form of sylvan used by the Unseelie Court (called Aklo). It can be read by those who know Sylvan with a few minutes of study, or by those who speak elven with some study. Or it can be read using magic such as a comprehend languages spell.
