L'amaturu (La-ma-churru)

"Embrace My Light"

C.R. Eede
L'amaturu:
  • Translation: 'The Night of Light'
  • Duration: One night throughout an entire sovereign reign.
All high elves converge at Ca'rthavial Vales during this sacred night to pay respects and honour their God, Nelaeryn. They stand atop the cliff and watch the Avial Gemstones glow their brightest as the starlight from the Caelorian Avialgeontrix, the Athominia, and the Mydha transfers its light down from the sky. The cliff becomes one of the lightest nights throughout the year and can be seen from thousands of miles away and from the ocean's depths.

History

The Sacred Days of Aethel Caeloria: 'L'amaturu,' 'Traverse,' and 'Yilipha' became officially recognised holy days within Aethel Caeloria that everyone had to participate in. Not only would the natives of Aethel Caeloria celebrate these days, but the royal family would also sit amongst their people as equals to recognise these critical days. This was worshipped for three-five months during each reign except for L'amaturu, which is only celebrated for one night.

Execution

L'amaturu Significance: All high elves converge at the C'arthavial Vales with House Tythal and the royal bloodline of Aalarelai standing at the front. Here, elves pay their respects to their God, who they believe created everything for them and continues to protect them today.

Components and tools

The Caelorian Avialgeontrix, Mydha, and Athominia equally impart their bright light down the Ca'rthavial Vales, where the avial gemstones radiate with the purest and rawest light made available to the kingdom. It spreads across thousands of miles, lighting up the skies and even deep into the ocean's abyss.

Participants

There are no critical roles in this tradition because everyone is welcome. It is used as a basis for appreciating and paying respects to their god, Nelaeryn.

Observance

This night only takes place once during an entire sovereign's reign.
L’amaturu: This is known as 'The Night of Light.' All high elves converge at Ca'rthavial Vales during this sacred night to pay respects and honour their God, Nelaeryn.
The Three Stars: The three stars above all the lands of Aethel Caeloria play a significant role during this night by transferring their raw starlight down to the Ca'rthavial Vales to charge the avial gemstones. The three stars are:
  • The Caelorian Avialgeontrix
  • The Athominia
  • The Mydha
Convergence: Elves within House M'ithai, House Tythal, and C'avarnia all converge near the Ca'rthavial Vales to witness the transference of light occur. However, the Aalarelai bloodline can get up close with immunity and protection from natural starlight as natural born Ca'rthavial Elves.
