House M'ithai (Me-thay)

The House of Phrays

C.R. Eede
House M'ithai:
  • Castle Name: Myserth Hall.
  • Motto: "Ever Growing Prosperity."
  • Sigil: A Three-headed heron spreading its wings across its body with five light rays shining behind it.
  • Colour on Design: Grey and Gold.
  • Symbolism: Fortune, Vitality and Patience.
  • Sacred Heirloom: 'Glynrel,' which is a lantern.
  • House Recognition: This house became officially recognised in 1675 NE by Jujinal Aalarelai, contributing wealth to Aethel Caeloria and dealing with its taxes.
  • House Contribution: They offered their favoured financial services and became respected members of Caelorian culture. House M'ithai also provides refined avial gems and resources.
  • Two Regions: Ciavala and Phiseqar.
  • The Leading Family: The head of the M'ithai family is Dyer and his wife, Iravaya. They bore six elflings (all male), Dyer I, Elkhazel, Hasa, Jurilian, Ravor, and Sivan.
Myserth Hall holds the leading family of M'ithai and is loyal to House Aalarelai of Aethel Caeloria. The regions of Ciavala and Phiseqar keep 1,000–1500 strong and protects the finances of Aethel Caeloria, possessing a secure vault and strongholds for the citizen's income. Myserth Hall is located in the centre of the forests below C'avarnia. The hall is built within the tallest and widest sequoia tree but only reaches halfway up the mountain (Sequoiadendron giganteum). Only the leading family of House M'ithai reside within the tree, whereas the people live a little farther into the forests where their homes are. The towering tree represents what they work to preserve, the Starlight Veil and nature.   House M'ithai has the protection of the Varcanai Guard, Caelorian Incline, Howlite Clan, and the support of the Aalarelai Bloodline for their welfare needs. In return, Aethel Caeloria provides them with the protection they need to survive away from the kingdom, as well as the resources necessary to remain self-sustainable.

Structure

The Leading Family: The leading elves of Myserth Hall are the M'ithai family, who each possess different roles within their lands and the overall kingdom of Aethel Caeloria:
  • Dyer M'ithai: He is in charge of resource and elven distribution to the Howlite Clan and the Varcanai Guard, overseeing the protection of House M'ithai. Dyer attends the council of the King and contends to the paperwork of his lands.
  • Iravaya M'ithai: She is responsible for tending to her people's welfare and caring for the Howlite Clan, whom House M'ithai respects highly. She is also in charge of Silencium within Aethel Caeloria alongside Muerala Tythal.
  • Dyer I: Firstborn and a soldier in the Caelorian Incline. Because Dyer I is a part of the Caelorian Incline, he cannot succeed his father after his passing.
  • Elkhazel: He is the secondborn and the official Coin Collector. Due to his brother being recruited in the Caelorian Incline, Elkhazel will be the one to take the mantle of his father once he passes, including being the sole keeper of Glynrel. Elkhazel is also a close friend of Halueve and Yinralei.
  • Hasa: He is the third born and a soldier in the Varcanai Guard. Hasa has always been a fighter at heart and was placed into the Varcanai Guard to try and calm some of his bloodthirsty urges.
  • Jurilian: He is the fourth born and a farmer for National Service.
  • Ravor: He is the fifth born and a soldier in the Varcanai Guard. Ravor is a highly disciplined elf who goes out of his way to learn every fighting technique he can for fun.
  • Sivan: He is the sixth born and a practising Scholar at Incrementum. As the only family member who doesn't enjoy fighting, Sivan spends most of his time in Incrementum learning what he can about Glynrel and its power.
The Phray Council: This comprises very few elves within the lands of House M'ithai. All members contribute to the meetings providing feedback and constructive criticism where they can:
  • The Head/Mantle Bearer: This elf/elfa reports on the general wellbeing of the elves of Myserth Hall and its surrounding regions, receiving feedback from their loyal subjects to better improve the lifestyle within their lands. He also discusses the intake of resources from their farming lands, the fishing dock, and the Caelorian Mines.
  • The Head Elfa: The head elfa (the wife of the head of house) reports on the plant life and vegetation alongside the arboriculturists and horticulturists. Additionally, she reports on the general welfare of all elves within the regions of Ciavala and Phiseqar.
  • The Official Coin Collector: This elf/elfa reports on the finances of the lands and discusses how much must be contributed to C'avarnia. They also report on what money has been spent and is owed, ensuring House M'ithai is well-kept.
  • The Overseer: This elf/elfa is the advisor of the leading family providing feedback to everyone regarding what the local phray's of the land want to say/have changed.
  • Principal of the Howlite Clan: Hikari is the current head of this elite and private military organisation. He reports on the progression of his leading wardens, the Myserth Forest's health, soldier intake and transferences to the Varcanai Guard, National Service numbers, elitist recruitment, the welfare of his soldiers, the upkeep of the two shrines, resources needed for training, and any threats noticed/resolved within the area.
  • Head of Athominia: Aki will attend for this position. She trains keepers of the forest with her fellow wardens in a supervisory and advanced role. Due to the many creatures inhabiting the forests, she discusses their populations, habitat life, general conservation acknowledgements, the welfare of the woods, and any threats she has come into contact with.
  • Head of Mydha: Takara will attend for this position. He trains soldiers and his fellow wardens in a supervisory and advanced manner. Due to the significance of the clan, Takara discusses keeper reports and training progression, the upkeep of the forest, resource requests, Varcanai Guard transferences, scout reports, and any outstanding threats.
  • One Scribe: One regular phray notes everything down for recording purposes.

Culture

The culture of House M'ithai is very different compared to C'avarnia. The leading family in charge of overseeing the running of the two regions, Ciavala and Phiseqar, are often seen as role models who will protect their people no matter what. However, they do share similar beliefs and traditions as the people of C'avarnia where relevant. Their lives are enriched by the knowledge and former lessons of their God, Nelaeryn. While diversity is more prevalent within Myserth Hall due to the Howlite Clan, everyone is still a little averse to outsiders. During special occasions, their lands are open but are (most of the time) reserved for the natives only. Their culture is stable, resilient, tolerant, and bears authentic beliefs. House M'ithai is widely known for its financial and resource contributions to C'avarnia. Ciavala and Phiseqar are the two regions of House M'ithai and are protected by both the Varcanai Guard and the Howlite Clan, renowned for its exclusive and private military services. Its council of phray's juggles the demands of its people and the wardens, ensuring all is well-balanced and controlled efficiently. The hardworking population of 5,000 elves are known throughout the many lands for their strenuous work ethic and contributions to nature.   The Native High Elves: These elves are known as 'phray's,' which are still native high elves of Aethel Caeloria. The high elves are lean, athletic, radiant, and tall, each with the knowledge and mental capability of ten thousand. Their hair colour ranges from black to light blonde, and their faces are stunning with distinct facial features and pointy ears. Their eyes are crepuscular, giving them the ability to see during twilight. Their mesmerising cheekbones are what separates them from the rest of the world as faint rays of light emit from underneath, alerting them to both distant and immediate danger. Their psyche is both orphic and logical, which creates a near-perfect balance. They come across as highly empathetic but can sometimes lack sympathy, making them both emotional, occasionally callous, and passionate beings. Phray's of Myserth Hall are not as distant travellers compared to their counterparts within C'avarnia, accepting those with different cultures and traditions. However, like the capital, they will not allow permanent residence unless an elf is native. Phray's preserve themselves and all they hold dear. Furthermore, they are not to be tampered with because they are trained from a young age in hand combat, spear combat and swordplay to eliminate anything that could be deemed a threat to their lands and their people.   Society: House M'ithai utilises the same currency, rules, and societal expectations as C'avarnia. Crime is relatively lower due to the lands being much smaller than the capital; however, distant threats are dealt with more often than not. Although, the difference between Ciavala and Phiseqar is that they are a lot more lenient in entertainment, allowing mild gambling and drinking games for their people.   National Service: Elflings and elves alike are sent to partake in National Service for at least two years; however, everyone can take it up in whichever area they see fit. When elves are transferred from the Varcanai Guard, they continue their national service through the Howlite Clan. Hikari gives those who have moved into the Howlite Clan the choice to stay and train with them full-time or train with them part-time while continuing their service in the Varcanai Guard. Few choose the latter because serving in the Howlite Clan is such an honour and a great opportunity that reaps so many rewards, including protection, advanced personal skills, a place to live, continual income during their time within the institute. Those within the Howlite Clan also get access to Tharnhim Castle, Myserth Hall, and Aethel Caeloria without any hassle, as their service is highly respected. Still, many choose not to venture too far from the forests due to the Caelorian Accord.   During their time in service, the soldiers of the Howlite Clan must spend a large quantity of their time in the forests, learning how to appreciate and preserve the nature within.

Assets

House M'ithai bears many assets within its two regions, which contribute to the beauty of Aethel Caeloria. House M'ithai are abundantly wealthy and need not worry about poverty, for their chests overflow every year from their civilian's contributions of fishing and mining. As a neighbouring house, M'ithai provides finances to the entire kingdom in exchange for the Aalarelai protection and benefits of being a native civilian. The primary nature-related asset of this house would be the forestry, which spans for miles around the base of the great mountain. Below are a few other assets the regions of Ciavala and Phiseqar boasts:   The Region of Ciavala: Below are some of the assets found within the region of Ciavala:
  • The Forestry of Ciavala: The Ciavala Forestry is where trees can be chopped down for resources, such as heat, within elves' homes. While not many are chopped down, the ones with many seeds are replanted straight after to ensure the forest remains populated with hundreds of trees. The currency 'wien' is a wooden component from these trees. Slightly beyond the primary forests, the Howlite Clan keepers care for the feral creatures and nature ensuring it's well-preserved and maintained to a healthy standard. Nature means everything to the keepers; therefore, they will do whatever they can to heal and keep it safe. This includes the preservation of their shrines deep within the forest, Mydha and Athominia.
  • Myserth Hall: This is where the leading family reside, taking to their quarters and communal areas to uphold and carry out their duties. Myserth Hall is also the tall and wide-tree-like structure where gatherings take place, allowing the elves of Myserth to converge and politely socialise with the leading family. The tree is 400 feet tall and 200 feet wide in diameter, making it one of the tallest trees throughout Caede Galair.
  • The Treasury: This is a large vault found atop the highest floor of Myserth Hall. The room itself holds thousands to millions of Avirial coins as well as gemstones that House M'ithai contributes to Aethel Caeloria. Only the leading members of House M'ithai has access to this room.
  • Myserth Gardens: The Myserth Gardens is where two leading wardens from the Howlite Clan, Emi and Rin, train elflings for later exclusive recruitment. Only a few are selected from the villages. Still, once they are chosen, the elflings are trained hard in combat while also learning the importance of nature preservation and animalistic compassion from an early age.
  • Statue of Historical Significance: Prothemia A'da Martidem (Prominent Deathly Elfa): This stone temple consists of thousands of jewels and treasures from around the world laid beneath the feet of a stone statue. This statue is of an elfa reaching for gold while covering her body with a torn rag. The elfa represents that the greed of wealth leads you to poverty (Th'imbula Trivistia Aa'gar). The pillars of this building were carved from the bare hands of one thousand prisoners, elf, elfa and elfling alike during 13 NE. This building has R'iavantra runic carvings around the edges of the building, warning outsiders to enter at their peril. The warnings are so detailed yet ancient that many lose their lives to obtain what lies within. The most valuable treasure found on a pedestal is an avial necklace with sapphires and opals surrounding the centrepiece. This wonder is located a few miles away from Myserth Hall.
  • Myserth Naval Port: This port is a recent modification of the city. It harbours the King's naval ship, 'Nelaeryn Q'asquata', in the old language of R'iavantra. In the common tongue of S'itradil, it translates into 'Nelaeryn's Rapture.' While the port isn't much to look at, the ship rests alongside a triple-levelled fortified wooden pier stretching further into the ocean.
  • The Myserth Dock: This dock has small sailing boats rested by the side of a wooden pier for the citizens of Aethel Caeloria to load and unload fishing resources/elves with something to trade. While the docks aren't much to look at, the boats rest alongside a fortified wooden pier that stretches further out into the ocean.
  • The Fishing Port: A few metres away from the dock is the fishing port where civilians often go fishing for eel, salmon, trout, dabs, flounders, oysters, mussels, clams, crabs, prawns, crayfish, cockles, periwinkle, snails, scallops, squids, cuttlefish, and sea cucumbers, tuna, herring, codfish, mackerel, sardines, seaweed, and more. Along the shores of Tiviya's Abyss, the more expensive and filling fishes can be located, such as lobsters, overpopulated sharks (stingrays, sawfish, skates, and surgeons), molluscs, octopuses, jellyfish, frogs, sea urchins, pike perch, catfish, pufferfish, swordfish, fish are cooked whole or cut into fine slices for aesthetic effect. Crustaceans and molluscs are usually cooked whole but killed beforehand to avoid unnecessary suffering. The more giant molluscs are killed, pounded to tenderise the tough flesh they possess. However, much seafood is also uncooked and eaten raw. Due to fish spoiling faster than other foods and being highly perishable, most fish caught are dried, salted, pickled, smoked, or fermented when not eaten fresh. If any are leftover each night, the leftovers are handed to the Varcanai Guard to deliver to the Caelorian Incline and Howlite Clan to feed the wildlife who will continually demolish the food right down to the bone.
  • The Caelorian Mines: Elves from Myserth Forest mine avial gemstones from the Ca'rthavial Vales that are ready to emerge from their shells and be taken away for refinement. Elves also mine the bottom of the mountain where other resources are found like silver, copper, golden nuggets, unrefined metals, coal, oil, other gemstones, limestone, chalk, dimension stone, rock salt, potash, gravel, and clay. This is a gold mine for wealth as many of the elves mining can sell the materials that don't need to be contributed to the kingdom. They will sell them to traders, who pay large amounts for rare materials, such as gemstones, that they cannot quickly get their hands on.
  • The Village of Phray: To the left of Myserth Hall are intricately carved wood and stone houses within a large community where all the elves reside. The route to this village is covered by tall trees making it difficult to find the way to the community if elves do not come from there; however, upon approaching the village is a clearing where the village looks ever-beautiful and tranquil. Each home possesses a front garden surrounded by nature, albeit a flower garden or a small pond. Each house is aligned to form layers of circles that are easy to navigate. Many homes can see the central wooden communal building where elves gather for socialisation. This building looks like a wooden teardrop and has a clear glass pane running down its centre. Each house ranges between 15-20 feet tall. This village withholds over 700 elves. The Howlite Clan patrols the clean avenues, ensuring everyone is well-tended to and protected from outside threats, albeit predators, foes, or mercenaries.
The Region of Phiseqar: Below are some of the assets of the Region, Phiseqar:
  • Myserth Forest: This forest extends around the entire base of the great mountain, Dukran, making it sizeable and sacred to the high elves. The Howlite Clan are scattered throughout the forest and are allocated around different areas to protect the nature within. Many feral creatures reside within the deeper parts of the forest, but it is also home to the Howlite Clan.
  • The Divine Pagoda: Within this structure is where the principal of the Howlite Clan resides, Hikari. He oversees the courtyard ensuring his keepers are pushed to their absolute limits. There is an open balcony atop the pagoda where four experienced keepers stand watch for any potential incoming threats. In the centre of this open pagoda is a giant silver disced gong, with white and gold tassels attached to either side of it. If the gong is hit once, it means a dangerous threat has been sighted. If the gong is struck twice, it means a warning has been sent out to the distant threat. If the gong is hit with more force three times, it means war is imminent, which all of Aethel Caeloria can hear. This pagoda has more than three floors with golden tassels hanging from the canopies and intricate patterns carved around and within the building. The walls were red, and gold with the Twi'phray painted around the lower floor's walls.
  • The Twin Dragons Courtyard: A smooth stone courtyard with the divine pagoda at the rear centre. The courtyard bore wooden dummies, three stone statues of the different types of soldiers within Aethel Caeloria; the Varcanai Guard, the Caelorian Incline, and the Howlite Clan. These statues take a fighting position where the Howlite Clan could practise their martial arts techniques on them. Before entering the courtyard, there is a large red and gold arch with runic inscriptions around the outlines. This courtyard is often filled with keepers training with wooden staff while supervised by the wardens.
  • Border Forts: On the edge of Myserth Forest stand two border forts on either side of the trees. Each fort contains two keepers of the Howlite Clan, two members of the Caelorian Incline, and two Varcanai Guards for additional protection and more eyes to remain alert against potential incoming threats.
The Two Shrines of Myserth Forest: The two shrines of Myserth Forest are precious to House M'ithai, withholding the living quarters of the Howlite Clan. Deep within the forest, the two shrines are separated and adored atop two small hills within different parts of the woods. Further out from the shrines are wooden, and stone houses made for those who serve within the Howlite Clan. The two shrines are Mydha and Athominia, named after the two stars akin to the Caelorian Avialgeontrix:
  1. Mydha Shrine: This shrine is surrounded by yellow, orange, blue, and pale peach roses, which signify friendship, joy, creativity, impossibilities, and modesty. This shrine is a worn statue of the God Nelaeryn reaching his hand out to the right while covering his face with a silky black garment. In between the hand of the garment and the statues hand is a black rose with a white outline known as 'Maday'. Vines hang from the fingers of the shrine, giving it an aesthetically pleasing appearance to those passing by.
  2. Athominia Shrine: This shrine is surrounded by pink, light pink, burgundy, and coral roses, which signify appreciation, grace, sweetness, sympathy, unconscious and inner beauty, and desire. This shrine is a worn statue of the Goddess Talurhiriin reaching her hand out to the left while covering her face with a white garment. In between the hand of the garment and the statues hand is a white rose with a black outline and faint silver stem known as 'Minaothai.'
Both shrines have white, red, and black roses on the inner circle of the shrines, which signify purity and innocence, unity, rebirth, and rejuvenation. The two sacred flowers of these shrines are rare, only blooming one isolated flower per year, and that flower requires constant care to ensure it lives on until the following year. The Howlite Clan preserves those two flowers:
  1. Maday: This is a black rose with a white outline and a faint navy-blue stem attached to a green stem.
  2. Minaothai: A white rose with a black outline and a faint silver stem attached to a green stem.
Thriving Bulbs Village: This village is close to the shrines and many stone houses surrounding nature. Most houses are well decorated, whereas others tend more to the gardens and wildlife. Every home has blue and green vines hanging from its ceilings. Due to the Howlite Clan slowly growing, the small community of homes needed a vast space; therefore, trees were cut down and replanted elsewhere to ensure the Howlite Clan had somewhere to live. This area is incredibly harmonious with a high community spirit. There is even a large pond with fish located in the centre of this community. Only elves from this area can find it, for the forestry becomes denser once the shrines have been found.   Flora of Myserth Forest: Myserth Forest is more significant in plants' population than any other place within the entirety of Aethel Caeloria. The Howlite Clan are located throughout the forests of Myserth beneath the Great Mountain, Dukran. They reside around the two shrines, which they protect dearly. The forests bloom colours from red, yellow, and orange maple to green willows and dark blue vines. Surrounding the shrines are different coloured roses. Flowers include lotuses, orchids, daisies, cherry blossoms, lilies, hydrangea, bellflowers, wolfsbane, amaryllis, chrysanthemum, lavender, and tulips. Hot springs, waterfalls, and small streams flow throughout the forest. There are two categories of plants and trees as listed below:   Plants:
  • The White Orchid: A small white flower with soft petals and a harmless stem.
  • Silver Lilies: A natural bouquet of silver petaled flowers that blossom when in direct sunlight.
  • Caelorian Vines: White vines connecting to Rayai, Nithavaer, and Nydon that surround the outer edges of Eca Gardens and delve deep into the ground travelling around Tharnhim Castle and Myserth Hall. Their roots delve deep into the surface below, protecting everything within its area. There is no mystical relevance to the vines, only that their primary purpose is to keep safe what the elven race cannot through providing unobtainable nutrients.
  • Canthil: The Canthil grows to heights of 24 inches. They possess a sweet strawberry-like aroma. Their petals are slightly wavy, while the blooms are rather bowl-shaped. Colours range from orange, red, and bright pink.
  • Sinaturai: The Sinaturai is an elongated, edible fruit. It possesses high nutritional value and is healthy in small or large amounts. The Sinaturai is a fruit that hangs from a vertical stem forming a trunk measuring 5 feet tall. The individual fruits are grouped in clusters of 30-40 each time.
  • Fluxenroot: A blue algae that grow near ponds and lakes. This is edible but can only be consumed in small amounts. If taken in large quantities, it can cause excessive nausea.
  • Arrow Vines: These are heavy vines compared to most with 'V-shaped' crimson leaves running down each stem.
  • Tanzine: The standard tanzine flower consists of a large blossom with seven petals, measuring six inches in width. Colours range in an ombre fashion from white to wine red, magenta to deep purple, and even a few teals and turquoise ones.
  • Mossclove: This non-flowering fuzzy plant produces spores and has stems and leaves, but they don't have normal roots. Instead, they have small hairlike structures. They are usually velvety-black in colour but can also range in orange and dark green. Their primary function is anchoring the plant to rock, soil, or bark. Mossclose often acts as a sponge for water and nutrients and can survive in most habitats.
  • Silk Leaf: They are typically an iridescent white and grow around six inches long and four inches wide. The blooms unfurl from cone-shaped buds and are attached to a smooth silver stem with sharp thorns. They're identified by exuding their sweet fragrance into the air once the cone buds feel the sun/moonlight.
  • BlossomsGaze: A vibrant auburn hue flower that is beautiful and soft upon the slightest touch. Anyone who dares gaze upon it up close becomes paralysed so that the plant can indulge in their souls. Those that stare at it from a distance will fall into a temporary slumber and awaken a few hours later. A spring of these flowers must be avoided at all costs, as a simple gaze will result in the flowers ravenously consuming one's entirety.
  • Curiosities Trap: This is a blood-red flower with midnight blue leaves. At the centre of the flower is what looks like a gemstone; however, it is just a gold petal reflecting the sunlight. Around the centre of the flower are curved (inwards) thorns that possess sharp tips. Once someone strokes or attempts to pick the flower, the thorns will either retract backwards and impale the hand touching the stem or strike inwards and impale the fingers attempting to touch the centre of the flower. The throbbing sting will last for a few hours.
  • Glyriosa Leaf: Like the Nerium oleander, the Glyriosa leaf can cause excessive sweating, dizziness, and comatisation upon the slightest touch. The leaf itself possesses a soft orange hue with subtle shades of blue. The veins will discreetly pulsate once it has touched someone, and the apex will curl inwards. The only way this leaf can be handled is by the base of the petiole.
Trees:
  • Black Oak: Like the Populus nigra, this tree can grow up to 16 feet tall and live for over 200 years. The bark is black and is thick with numerous fissures. The twigs are smooth and brown.
  • Zedonary: Similar to the Adansonia digitata, this tree possesses a thick trunk with a hemisphere crown consisting of green and orange leaves. This tree can reach heights of up to 60 feet tall with its girths up to 40 feet. This tree is only found in groups, which often block out harsher seasons due to its compact crown atop the trunk. This makes it a great nesting spot for the Nagtaive.
  • Pedanculate: These grow up to 20 feet tall and live over 150 years. The bark is dark grey, rough and fissured, often with small wooden leaves growing from the base of the trunk. The twigs are velvety, while the buds are triangular, pointed and hairy. Their distinctive asymmetric leaf bases are common among many trees.
  • Peasow: Similar to the Bauhinia aculeata, the peasow is a white tree with lavender petals reaching up to 30 feet in height and 25 feet in girth. It possesses twisted and thick ascending branches, which curve upwards slightly. The beautiful, white, three to four-inch-wide, orchid-like blooms appear in abundance throughout the year.
  • Colicreek: This is the largest species of colicreek found throughout all the forests, with mature trees growing up to 40 feet. Many species reside within the hanging leaves of these trees because it shelters them from the weather. They often have an irregular, leaning crown. The bark is light brown and develops deep fissures over time, and its twigs are slender yet flexible.
  • Tassel Cress: Also known as Quaking aspen, this is a beautiful tree with shimmering foliage. Mature trees grow to 25m. Older trees may be covered with lichen, which gives the trunk a black appearance, and the bark is grey and often pitted with diamond-shaped pores, called lenticels. The uppermost branches are sometimes bent over horizontally. Twigs are dark brown, slender and shiny.
Fauna of Myserth Forest: The forests are also home to many animals, herbivores, carnivores, and omnivores. Below are many of the animals that reside within these forests:
  • The Hydraen: It is half horse and half deer. Each Hydraen has a long, straight tail and midnight blue cerulean eyes.
  • The Nagtaive: This is the evolutionary offspring of the sacred T'wiphray; however, this is unknown to the High Elves. The Nagtaive is a two-winged avian species with crimson red feathers and a midnight black underbelly. It has two heads and a long golden beak it bore with sunset orange eyes. Its wings curl at night to protect the bird from danger and change into stone until the sunlight's rays arise. It has a debilitating strike when it gains enough altitude. None could look into the eyes of the Nagtaive as it would send an attack signal to the bird's mind.
  • The Aveur: This is a four-legged rodent with three tails and a soft four coat, but it is blind. It relies on the vibrations within its tail to navigate its surroundings.
  • The Tuyx: This is a two-headed feral cat with stripes; however, it acts domesticated. However, it is suitable for the kingdom because it eliminates pests and rodents.
  • The Mina: A midnight black and indigo blue short fur-coated cat with pure white eyes, long ears, and no tail. Its whiskers are white and reach the side of the cat's face. These are omnivores.
  • A'esel: A 220-toothed reptile with two jaws, four black eyes at the side of their body, four legs with two additional feet that protrude beneath the original feet to reach higher ground, and a long body (double the length of a crocodile). These are to be avoided at all costs as they are carnivores and will eat anything they can find but are primarily carnivores.
  • F'itidana: A flock of black-coated birds with white underbellies, long grey beaks, and a short wingspan. These birds are omnivores but are best known for their darting abilities in catching their prey and warding off forest enemies. They nest in the tree of House M'ithai.
  • Anos and Rese: A red and orange fish with different coloured patterns on its body. Anos is commonly orange, and Rese is red. These fish are deemed sacred by House M'ithai.
  • Warnhelm: A two-faced wolf with four legs and four tails. It's common for the wolf to have two different coloured eyes, one of them predominantly brown. The coat of the wolf varies. It possesses short white antlers with faint green and cream mist surrounding it. It's a large creature, half the size of a fully grown maple tree and can only be found near the forest's springs. These are omnivores.
  • The Simnthred: A fox of pure light with a frost white coat. The coat is as smooth as Nithavaer's bark yet as fuzzy as the Hydraen's fringe. With midnight black eyes and fearsome canines, it knows how to protect itself from harm. It emits a fearsome glowing ice-white shine that attracts those who venture near. When in close combat, its fur will spike and transform into transparent crystals, sharp upon the slightest touch. It is a creature that has tried to be tamed in the past but can never be. Its teeth and canines are too fearsome to allow near elflings, and its attack would render an entire army to a singular elf in a flash. Only one has ever managed to become allies with these foxes, and that is House Larson.
  • Snow Mooren: Like the Cervus unicolor, the Snow Mooren are herbivores with broadened velvety antlers that span over 30 inches wide. This species of ungulate is light grey with a faint brown tinge. The underparts are even paler. Their coat of hair is coarse, and their undersides have fuzzy white hair. The colour of the coat is consistent around the body. Their tail is quite long for an ungulate, and they have long muscular legs.
  • The Darter: The darter has a tiny face with small eyes and a small nose. This animal is blind but navigates its surroundings through vibrations in the ground. However, it does possess an acute sense of hearing and smell. The darter has dark fluffy fur almost entirely hidden by a covering of sharp quills on its back and sides. These quills range between 2-4 inches long and help camouflage the darter in any given environment. This mammal is an omnivore.
  • Eland-Tailed Lizard: The skin colour of the Eland-Tailed lizard is pure white, taking an albino appearance. These lizards feature a long neck and snout, serrated teeth, sharp claws and four almond-shaped eyes. A long, muscular tail is also typical for this lizard. They have scaly skin covering their whole body, which serves as an effective defence mechanism. The Eland-Tailed lizard can live over 300 years and is a carnivore. However, its population is swiftly declining, which makes it endangered.
  • Etzal Serpent: These serpents often habituate high within the trees and can vary in colour and pattern but typically have four stripes that run down the length of their body. These colours range from white, red, yellow, orange, green, blue, purple, pink, grey, and brown. The average length is 25 inches, but they can grow to become 40 inches, with males being smaller than females.
  • Quetzalian Sea Snake: This species of sea snake can be found in shallow ponds and lakes of Myserth Forest. Their body length can reach up to 35 inches, but the females can reach up to 45 inches. The snake is venomous, and its venom can cause paralysis for hours; however, it will only attack if it feels threatened. The Quetzalian sea snake is bright yellow with a lavender underbelly.
  • The Aegean Serpents: There are only two of these serpents to exist within the forests of Myserth. They appreciate their privacy; they often habituate near lakes/ponds and take to the lands off mossclove where they are comfortable. They are 3 feet tall and range between 15-20 feet long, making them enormous serpents within all of Aethel Caeloria. They possess three layers of 100 hundred teeth and are omnivores. While they don't walk much due to their size, they can quickly catch prey.
  • Teal Spider: This spider is different to most in that it is friendly to both animals and elf-alike. While its appearance is often shunned, it is precious for its silk web. This web is usually found deep within Myserth Forests, displaying beautifully intricate designs. The spider bears 16 legs and has two abdomens (both on top of one another). The other eight legs are attached to the secondary abdomen, where it can grip onto more complex surfaces with ease. It has eight eyes and four fangs. The spider has six spinnerets where the silk is mass-produced.
  • Marine Serval: This is a pack of wild canines that travel in groups of ten plus. Similar to the Lycaon pictus, Marine Servals appreciate and follow a hierarchy, which ensures everyone within the pack has a place and is respected in that position. These canines are carnivores but are open to elven interaction. They have short grey coats with white patches over their bodies, blue or brown eyes, and four legs. Their tail is longer than most canines and can eject devastating strands of hair that will slice any threats. They will only attack if provoked or if their territory is being threatened.
Within C'avarnia:
  • Silencium: Iravaya M'ithai and Muerala Tythal are the co-managers of Silencium, which is predominately an art gallery; however, classical music is played there too from time to time. It possesses a style that is perceived as fashionable and imbued with a happy undertone making elves want to step foot within. The building itself bore a wide range of modifications from its construction in 1540 NE to its completion in 299 VO. Over hundreds of years, Silencium ended up sizing at 480ft long and 60ft deep. It was elevated on a one-foot foundation of carved stone to give the gallery a sense of height. There was a central entrance with smooth wien wooden double doors and marble staircases draped with a white carpet along the middle. The opening was relatively narrow compared to other buildings, but its side rooms were disproportionately more expansive. Though it is enormous, the building opens its doors to elves from different kingdoms who love the arts. Silencium is located to the left of Nelaeryn Y'vaphasai, where marriage ceremonies and prayer occur. This is located close to the Glazed Temple within Rhyzeal Stream.

History

House M'ithai doesn't have a generalised history due to only being established 1675 NE. Therefore, this makes their existence relatively recent. However, there are vital wars that have led to House M'ithai being incredibly respected citizens of the land of Aethel Caeloria:
  • The Conqueror's Conquest (213 NE) Elf vs Nature: Ithronel M'ithai fought in this war alongside the Varcanai Guard and against the Vithra. Due to House M'ithai being the closest to the creatures, many from the two regions were forced into a tough spot as they fought for their lives and the lives of those they loved. Many were lost on both sides, but it was a huge loss to the Vithra.
  • Conflict of Ca'rthavial Vales (212 NE): Ithronel and his youngest sister, Elra M'ithai fought in this conflict alongside the Varcanai Guard against Dawndale who sought the sacred avial gemstones and claimed it was their right to take them. Unsatisfied with their answer, Aethel Caeloria fought Dawndale on the peak of the Ca'rthavial Vales pushing them back as it was a part of the high elves' territory. This conflict caused many deaths with the bodies lying deep within the waters below the cliff. Many of them have not rotted and remain at the bottom of the seabed as if they were killed recently. Ever since this conflict, the protection around the cliff has become tighter and less accessible to outsiders.
  • The Clash of Star and Stone (210 NE): Ithronel and Elra M'ithai fought in this conflict alongside the Varcanai Guard and Caelorian Incline ensuring that Dawndale do not overstep any boundaries. With no right or claim to the sacred avial gemstones, a war ignited between Aethel Caeloria and Dawndale, which caused alliances to fail and relationships to break. Friends became enemies, and lovers became foes.
  • The Chaos of Dawndale (209 NE): Eyraeshir and Aethel Caeloria crossed one another's territory borderlines, and war sparked between the two great kingdoms. Alethera, daughter of Ithronel M'ithai fought alongside her father in this conflict alongside the Varcanai Guard and Caelorian Incline in a bid to fight their foes, Eyraeshir.
  • Blood Waters Gap (209 NE): This is the war Aethel Caeloria was involved in during the War of Faiths, fighting on two fronts. One against the Forsaken Commander, Vivaleth and the other against Eyrashirian soldiers. Alas, Alethera, daughter of Ithronel M'ithai fell in battle. The mantle of their house passed onto Naela I, but she, too, was slain in battle. The mantle was then passed onto Gaelith I, but he was not permitted to fight in any wars for the sake of preserving his bloodline. Otis M'ithai later fought in Blood Water's Gap surviving the atrocities within.
  • The Dales Disgrace (170 NE): Dawndale suffered a horrid defeat at the hands of Aethel Caeloria, so in a bid to get revenge for their losses, they infiltrated the kingdom when Dihavanor and his kin were out on the front lines fighting their enemies. Savages disguised as travellers penetrated all aspects of Aethel Caeloria. House M'ithai was greatly affected by these savages for five members of the leading household were brutally slain. Foelun M'ithai was assassinated. Skian M'ithai was assassinated. Yvessian was assassinated. Sylmare was murdered in her sleep. Muerlara was stabbed in the back. Otis, the fourth elfling of Ithronel M'ithai survived and managed to avenge his kin by slaying the elves who killed them. Otis, alas, was later slain during the Brother's Vengeance war. Lyrei M'ithai fought in this personal conflict too, avenging her kin.
  • Glynrel's Light (146 NE): During the War of Faiths, House M'ithai of Aethel Caeloria used their house's heirloom to warden away the darkness that infested their lands through the Lantern of Glynrel; the last light of the mythical Twi'phray, reaching past the Great Kingdom and vanquishing the Ashen and Vivaleth to the depths of shadow. Lyrei survived the Dale's Disgrace and fought alongside her brother, Imazeal, who wielded Glynrel and gave the Great kingdom, Aethel Caeloria a second chance at life.
  • Greed's Spear (100 NE): The Varcanai Guard wanted to know the Caelorian Incline's secrets into advanced training. While House M'ithai refused to get involved, Lyrei M'ithai did offer House Tythal information on the Varcanai Guard's whereabouts to ensure they received all the information needed to prepare themselves against any attacks. She was against the Varcanai Guard's greed, thus decided to do something about it.
  • The Day of Stratanum (0 VO): Natural Event
  • The Inconsolable Forlorn (2 VO): Imazeal M'ithai fought during the Inconsolable Forlorn beside's Naerynidam Tythal and together they became good friends. Imazeal fought with his late sister's weapon, a broadsword and brought it into all battle with him as a way to remember her courage in the face of danger. Imazeal fought valiantly with his people following behind him.
  • Bloodbane's Ferocity (23 VO): Naerynidam wielded this blade and fought a mighty battle, becoming a vital part of history, winning in the battle, Bloodsbane's Ferocity. Imazeal M'ithai followed in his footsteps ensuring he covered his back as a friend would do. The two of them fought their way through the war, leading their people to victory.
  • Battle of The Blue Mountain (25 VO): After surviving Bloodsbane's Ferocity, Imazeal fought in the Battle of the Blue Mountain, silencing the Ashen and Forsaken Commanders for eternity. He was hailed a hero upon his return to Phiseqar and Ciavala.
  • The Merc's Strike (825 VO): Mercenaries managed to infiltrate Aethel Caeloria and wanted citizenship into the kingdom for the vast opportunities they offered their people. Enlarna and Nymn M'ithai fought in this war together as husband and wife, ensuring no mercenaries entered their lands. After being summoned by Rhyzeal Aalarelai, they led one hundred keepers of the Howlite Clan to fight against the outsiders.

Demography and Population

House M'ithai Population: Myserth Hall holds the leading family of eight elves.   The Village of the Phray's (Ciavala) withholds:
  • 700-800 elves
The Thriving Bulbs Village (Phiseqar) withholds:
  • 700+ elves
The overall population of House M'ithai is just over 1500 elves but is continually growing.

Territories

The Region of Ciavala's Territory: The region of Ciavala spans 100 miles from Myserth Hall to the Village of the Phray. The high elves and their industries are within this region, which occupies the lands. The population of Ciavala ranges from 700-800 elves, including the leading family.
  • Myserth Hall
  • The Treasury
  • The Myserth Gardens
  • Ciavala Forestry
  • Myserth Naval Port
  • The Myserth Dock
  • The Fishing Port
  • The Caelorian Mines
  • The Village of the Phray
  • Promethia A'da Martidem Temple
The Region of Phiseqar's Territory: The region Phiseqar spans 400 miles, primarily consisting of Myserth Forest. Within this region are the vast nature and creatures that inhabit the lands and the homes of the Howlite Clan. This region approximately holds 700-800 elves and counting.
  • The Divine Pagoda
  • The Twin Dragons Courtyard
  • Mydha Shrine
  • Athominia Shrine
  • The Thriving Bulbs Village
  • Myserth Forest
  • Border Forts

Military

The Howlite Clan: The clan is located within and slightly beyond the Myserth Hall Forests and has a population of 700+ elves. Those serving within the Howlite Clan have different ranks, but the soldiers are called 'Keepers.'   Clan Wardens: The principal of the Howlite Clan is Hikari, but he also has four experienced and renowned wardens who help him to keep the elite fighting force running:
  • Principal: Hikari (elf)
  • Emi (elfa)
  • Aki (elfa)
  • Rin (elf)
  • Takara (elf)
The Howlite Clan's sole purpose is to preserve and protect the forests of Myserth and tend to the creatures of the woods. It associates itself closely with House M'ithai, loyal to Aethel Caeloria, and all members are born there. While they are not an army, they are keepers of the forest, and each member is trained in advanced martial arts and stealth combat to ensure they have what it takes to preserve their sole purpose. The Clan of Howlite is considered small in number but deadly in force. They are trained in the way of stealth and have an immaculate aim. Their senses are broadened, and they have exceptional vision. They are occasionally seen in the trees jumping from branch to branch, swiftly yet with nimble footing. While there are only five leaders, the remaining keepers of the forest scout and remain on guard throughout its vast nature-filled pathways.   Ranking System:
  1. Principal
  2. Wardens
  3. Practising Wardens
  4. Experienced Keepers
  5. Official Keepers
  6. Recruits/elflings
Combat Types: Members of the Howlite Clan are chosen from birth then trained at the sacred Myserth Shrines of Athominia and Mydha. Elves endure extreme flexibility, martial arts training, dart practise, and more:
  • Hallucinogenics: Hallucination and Poison Darts, and Healing Techniques. The warden, Rin, teaches this to his students.
  • Enhanced Fitness: Parkour, Extreme Aerobics, and Meditation. The warden, Aki, reaches this to her students.
  • Ayikuph: They wield two daggers that have three heads (two alternate blades that click in and out of place at the side of the dagger). The warden, Takara, teaches this to his students.
  • Disc throwing: On their light armour, they bear small but sharpened chainmail discs used to throw across long distances and put down enemies. The warden, Emi, teaches this to her students.
Recruitment: Families of Myserth Hall who want to bring honour to their names will offer their secondborn sons and daughters to the Howlite Clan. Never firstborn. Secondborns are deemed unparallel to the firstborn. The firstborns must join the Varcanai Guard of Aethel Caeloria, but once in the Howlite Clan, members must spend most of their lives devoted to its cause until 400 years of age. Once 400 years has been reached, they must pass on their knowledge to the younger generation before retirement, The Clan Leaders, on the other hand, must spend their entire life in the service, and then they will choose who will succeed them as associate leaders.   The Caelorian Accord: During 1675 NE - 776 NE, an accord was struck between Dilax Aalarelai and the Howlite Clan, declaring that elves of colour would not be permitted into the kingdom for they would 'taint' the purer souls. In exchange for their segregation, Dilax Aalarelai promised that none of his kin nor future bloodlines would disturb them, allowing them to live in peace in their forests. This was a colossal hate crime against the elves born in Myserth Forest. Accord as below:   'This accord declares the Howlite Clan of House M'ithai will remain a separate establishment from Aethel Caeloria. No elves may socialise, bear relations, or speak the names of those beyond the Myserth Forests. The Howlite Clan must be set aside from the Ca'rthavial elves to preserve the kingdom. Any who dare defy these rules will be executed immediately. This is the law, and it will be upheld. Signed, Dilax Aalarelai.’

Religion

Religion isn't widely practised throughout Aethel Caeloria; however, the Virtuous Order does worship their God, Nelaeryn to a minimal extent. Minimal being abiding by his teachings, appreciating all he has given to the high elves, and thanking him every day for the life he has given them. Some may light a candle or lay flowers at his shrine, Nelaeryn Y’vaphasai.   The High Priest and Priestess keep as updated on the efforts of their God, abiding by his rules and informing the citizens of these rules every now and again. The Haven of Solaris is a safe place but often perceived as a religious establishment to learn more about Nelaeryn's time of creation. Any new knowledge discovered by the D'ivalorth and Promised Heralds regarding Nelaeryn's creations and laws are passed onto the Virtuous Order for knowledge and safe-keeping sake.

Agriculture & Industry

The Fishing Port: A few metres away from the dock is the fishing port where civilians often go fishing. Various species of sealife are gathered here for the Ivory Orchid Tavern, the royal family, and two leading families, as well as the trading stalls within Filarion Plaza and the Homes of Thorns. Those within Ciavala often sell their wares to travellers or vagabonds merely passing by for a good sum.   The Village of Phray: To the left of Myserth Hall is a large community where all the elves reside. Within this community are small farming fields allowing for the production of fruits and vegetables, and fair distribution among all the houses; Aalarelai, Tythal, and M'ithai.

Trade & Transport

Trade
  • Trade within the kingdom usually occurs within Filarion Plaza because that's where all the stalls are located. Traders sell their wares to the natives throughout the week, which gets them their income. When the gates of C'avarnia open to outsiders during special events or sacred days, traders exceed in their sales, making more and more each time with what they bring in. This, in turn, provides more finance to the kingdom, allowing traders to expand their contributions and reap what they sow. The Village of the Phray's within Ciavala also have a few traders throughout their community. These are a lot smaller compared to the capitals.
Transport
  • Transport of the land mainly consists of horseback riding and wagon management. Horses are used for long-distance destinations with only a courier riding on them if a Nagtaive is unavailable to utilise. On the other hand, wagons are used with horses to carry heavier items that require two or more horses to pull them. If the message is urgent or highly confidential, an experienced Caelorian Incline soldier is sent with the message/item on the back of a stallion for the sake of swift delivery.

Education

The education of House M'ithai is similar to the elves of C'avarnia. See as below:   Training from Birth: As soon as an elfling can write, they also wield their first weapon. Most wield a dagger or short sword then progress to what they are comfortable with. After they are well versed in writing, they are taught to be efficient with weapons of all kinds within the kingdom. They are trained to fight with spears, short swords and shields. This prepares them for the challenges they will face during their teenage and adult years. Each elfling is also taught hand-to-hand combat until they are proficient enough to beat their peers and mentors in practice. This training gives them the skills to survive before they venture far from the kingdom. This introductory training also takes place until after joining their national service field within the Varcanai Guard.
  • The Caelorian Incline: Those who continue to train will be transferred to the traditional Caleorian Incline, where they will learn the advanced ways of their ancestors through thorough practise and weapons of their choice. Mentors practise with them both individually and in a group to widen their offensive and defensive training skills. It involves meditation and vigorous combat. The only training that allows for the drawing of blood. They are taught parkour and how to use martial arts in swordplay, how to use shields to create platforms to jump from, how to use shields as a multi-purpose object and more. Their martial arts training takes years to perfect, which takes a great deal of devotion and commitment. Once their mentors believe them to be ready, those in the Caelorian Incline are given the option to stay until they deem themselves fit enough to leave, choose a different occupation, or to serve in the upper ranks of the Varcanai Guard, providing them with more responsibility and passing on knowledge to those without the relevant training.
  • The Howlite Clan: Elflings are hand-selected from birth by the Wardens of the Howlite Clan to train with them within Myserth Forest. They learn fundamental skills to living, manners, mediation, and financial management. Later on, they are trained in combat and verbal communication. This training leads to highly advanced education once the elflings begin to age.
  • The Varcanai Guard/Caelorian Incline/Howlite Clan: Though these are military organisations, they have all been described by veterans as a large family that teaches one another how to survive in the world both professionally and personally. Throughout elves' time in their military groups, they will learn the basics of living and contributing to the kingdom. This allows for a trusty and reliable militarised force.
The Glazed Temple: The Glazed Temple is home to the Varcanai Healers, D'ivalorth, Vythai, and the Promised Heralds, where each member is highly proficient in their field of expertise.
  • The Varcanai Healers: The Varcanai Healers of the kingdom open their doors to anyone who would like to gain knowledge in the art of medicine and healing, providing education in all the sciences and research skills. They are based on the ground floor of the temple. Varcanai Healers often take on new scholars who want to use their compassion and gentle hearts to help others through selfless acts of kindness and travel the world, which is a perk of being a medicinal scholar. Inexperienced/new scholars are taken on every few hundred years to pass their knowledge down to. This, in turn, keeps the Varcanai Healers in operation and allows their healing properties to be used on those who cannot help themselves. The Varcanai Healers are sometimes shown incredibly intellectual elflings who want to learn more in the art of medicine so are offered reading materials to study alongside their national service duration. Once their time is over, they can learn more within the Glazed Temple if they want to become a fully-fledged Varcanai Healer themselves and get practical with the more challenging operations under supervision. They are given a 1-1 ceremony of celebration with the Lead Varcanai Healer, who offers the new healers their official uniform and badge of authentication. When they are proficient enough to perform independently, leadership is removed.
  • The D'ivalorth and Vythai: The D'ivalorth and Vythai are always elfa's. These two are the chosen protectors of knowledge within the kingdom of Aethel Caeloria, as selected by the Seed specifically. They and the Promised Heralds are located on the upper floors of the Glazed Temple but are primarily situated within Incrementum, the most extensive library on the planet.
  • The D'ivalorth: The D'ivalorth is the Guardian of all knowledge within Aethel Caeloria and the smartest elfa on Caede Galair. She has the knowledge of all the ages through the power of the Starlight Veil. Everyone feels at ease approaching the D'ivalorth because of how supportive and encouraging she is. While she is a high elf, she is not as aversive to outsiders compared to the natives. She is more compassionate and empathetic, which pairs with her nurturing and optimistic personality. These characteristics help when passing knowledge onto elflings. A lot of education comes from the D'ivalorth, where she primarily comes into contact with teens and adults. She can make everyone feel at ease and generally comfortable in her presence, which is another factor that draws elves in. Her teaching methods are not dull because she makes her lessons enjoyable.
  • The Vythai: The Vythai is the Tender of Scrolls within Aethel Caeloria and is the assistant to the D'ivalorth. The Vythai teaches elfling's of the kingdom, following in the footsteps of the D'ivalorth making fundamental lessons fun, engaging, and enjoyable to learn. The homework she sets is often more creative, which helps the elflings to learn faster. She also considers that not all elflings learn the same way, so she will try different methods to ensure everyone understands what she is teaching. This is one of her most outstanding qualities, offering more than one solution.
  • The Promised Heralds: In Aethel Caeloria, there is a well-regarded group called 'The Promised Heralds,' who are the keepers of knowledge. They are known throughout the lands. One scholar from each kingdom must come forth to complete this consortium as they'll provide guidance to each kingdom through their findings and discover new scriptures and tomes etc, once new ones make their way into Incrementum through trade and travel.
The Virtuous Order: The Virtuous Order allows anyone to walk through The Haven of Solaris to teach elves the way of Nelaeryn. Elflings, teens, adults, and elders alike may enter to learn about Nelaeryn and his teachings. As elfling's are often much more fascinated by the world, they enter the doors to learn about their God and have a system of belief once they leave it, which usually has them returning and visiting to learn more.   The Aalarelai and M'ithai Bloodline: Though the royal bloodline and leading family mostly contend to the needs of their lands, when they are found alone or have spare time, they are often approached by citizens to help them with educational matters, which they don't mind doing at all. Knowledge means everything to the people of Aethel Caeloria, so teaching civilians about issues and issues of the world and history is something they will willingly and happily do.

Infrastructure

The Infrastructure of the Ciavala and Phiseqar regions are relatively simple:   The Region of Ciavala:
  • Myserth Hall: This location is embedded within a sizeable hollowed-out sequoia tree. There are more than twenty rooms found along the thick branches, which extend over the entire forest of Ciavala. The treasury is located on the highest floor of the tree.
  • The Treasury: This saer vault is located on the highest floor of Myserth Hall, where only the leading family has access to it. Three Howlite Clan keepers stand guard over this vault to ensure no one other than the leading family of M'ithai enters. These three keepers remain the same throughout the year and are only changed at the end of the year.
  • Myserth Gardens: This is a clear courtyard with shrubbery surrounding its borders. Two leading wardens from the Howlite Clan train elflings here.
  • The Forestry of Ciavala: This is where the resource 'wien' originates. The forestry of Ciavala shields the Village of Phray, Myserth Hall, the Promethia A'da Martidem statue, and feral creatures that habituate near elves.
  • Promethia A'da Martidem: This temple is made of the most delicate chiselled stone consisting of thousands of jewels ranging from diamonds, sapphires, peridots, aquamarine, topaz, garnets, opals. citrines, jadeite, fire agates, and more. The avial necklace is the most valuable piece on the statue. This temple is located a few miles away from Myserth Hall.
  • Myserth Naval Port: This is a small triple-levelled wooden pier that extends out into the ocean, holding the King's naval ship, Nelaeryn Q'asquata.
  • The Myserth Dock: This is a small fortified wooden pier that stretches further out into the ocean. With four different piers, it allows for eight small boats to harbour in total (one on each side of the pier).
  • The Fishing Port: This is a few metres away from the dock and consists of a solid wooden pier where civilians can go fishing.
  • The Caelorian Mines: This is the base of the great mountain, Dukran, where valuable resources can be excavated. Due to the civilians of C'avarnia residing within the mountain's core, the excavation doesn't affect them, and resources are only mined when materials run low.
  • The Village of Phray: This is a large community of high elves that reside within Ciavala. It is covered by tall trees and hanging vines, shielding the area from outsiders. The homes within this community are made unique by the elves living in them, ranging from 15-20 feet tall. Each residence possesses a flower garden or a small pond. The homes are aligned to form multiple layers of circles with avenues that are easy to navigate. Many homes can see the central wooden communal building where elves gather for socialisation. This building looks like a wooden teardrop and has a clear glass pane running down its centre.
The Region of Phiseqar:
  • The Divine Pagoda: This is a 100-foot tall structure overseeing the Myserth Forest. Atop the pagoda is four experienced Howlite Clan keepers who keep a lookout. The open balcony floor is where a giant disced silver gong stands in the centre. This pagoda has more than three floors with golden tassels hanging from the canopies and intricate patterns carved around and within the building. The walls are red, and gold with the Twi'phray painted around the lower floor's walls.
  • The Twin Dragons Courtyard: A smooth stone courtyard with wooden dummies and three stone statues. This is located directly outside the divine pagoda.
  • The Border Forts: There are two stone border forts on the edge of Myserth Forest. These forts each contain two keepers of the Howlite Clan, two members of the Caelorian Incline, and two Varcanai Guards. To enter the kingdom would be to cross these forts. Due to the structural damage caused within the War of Faith's, the two defences look more like fractured ruins but still do their job acting as lookouts.
  • The Two Shrines of Myserth Forest, Athominia and Mydha: These two stone shrines point in different directions and are surrounded by abundant species of roses and other flowers. One shrine is of the Talurhirin, Goddess of Eyraeshir, while the other is Nelaeryn, God of Aethel Caeloria.
  • The Thriving Bulbs Village: This village is located close to the shrines. The stone houses surround nature with trees, shrubbery, and even feral animals venturing in and out of the area. Most of the homes are well-decorated. Every home has blue and green vines hanging from its roofs. This area is incredibly harmonious with a high community spirit. There is even a large pond with fish located in the centre of this community. The forestry becomes denser once the shrines have been found, making navigating the forests difficult unless one knows where they're going.

Mythology & Lore

House M'ithai primarily follows the mythology of C'avarnia:
  • The Old Kings Return
  • A Tale of Three Warriors
  • The Coming of Three Warriors
  • The Fallen Rise
  • Through Bark and Wood

Divine Origins

All myths throughout Aethel Caeloria were written and rumoured during and after the War of Faiths in 233 NE. Once the Forsaken were defeated, tales of kingly returns emerged from beneath the surface and lived on through the many generations giving the elves of the kingdom something to be hopeful for should anything apocalyptic ever return to plague their lands and lives.

Ever Growing Prosperity

House M'ithai still class themselves as High elves but are commonly known as phrays. The M'ithai house is vital to the longevity of the land, for they are the ruling hand of the people and ensure everything runs smoothly. They contribute with C'avarnia and House Tythal.

Currency
The Currency of the Kingdom: The primary currency is known as ‘Avirial.’ (A-veer-real) Avirial is a thin saer (silver) or wien (wooden) coin with a small avial gemstone embedded into the centre. There are tree-like indentations branching out towards the edges of the coin giving it the significance of the kingdom's sacred monument, The Starlight Veil. Unlike many other kingdoms, Aethel Caeloria mainly specialises in the exchange of gemstones. The rarer the gemstone, the more valuable it is. If someone possesses a specialised avial gemstone, they are considered wealthy.   Most traders will take gemstones if Avirial coins are not something other elves possess, but Varcanian traders are highly trained in the art of negotiation and getting the best price for their items often making compromise challenging, but not impossible. Many items throughout the kingdom are expensive, but there are also affordable stalls available too.   Two Types of Coin:
  • Avirial: These are the normal coins that are either saer or wien and have a small avial gemstone in the centre.
  • Raw Avial: These are rare coins that have both smooth saer and wien materials on the coin with a slightly larger avial gemstone in the centre. The raw avial gemstone is Aethel Caeloria’s most sacred stone as it holds the light of the stars within the very centre making it incredibly valuable and sought for. It is also incredibly destructive with a blinding light and is the highest belief of purity for the high elves, making it exceptionally unique and desirable among traders and the kingdom alike.
Conversion Rate: Avirial Coin = £10 GBP Raw Avirial Coin = £1000 GBP
Legislative Body
There are four categories of crime that have their own consequences and punishments as conformed by the reigning sovereign. The reigning sovereign, Elders of Claritas, and the Virtuous Order deal and resolve any crimes within the kingdom. All minor crimes are passed through the Virtuous Order within the Haven of Solaris initially, then the High Priest/Priestess reports their findings onto the Elders of Claritas who pass judgement. For any average/heinous crimes, it goes straight to the Elders of Claritas and the reigning King who pass judgement through Freedom's Pass. Crimes and laws are as below:   Minor Crimes and Punishments:
  • Thievery
  • Disturbing the Peace
  • Slander
  • Oath-breaking
  • Trespassing
  • Punishment: Warning from the Varcanai Guard or community service for 25 years.
  • Average Crimes and Punishments:
  • Cheating on another.
  • Looting
  • Assault
  • Vandalism
  • Animal Cruelty
  • Punishment: Face to face encounter with a chained Vithra. Community service for 175 years.
Heinous Crimes and Punishments:
  • Kidnapping and Murder
  • Planning for an assassination
  • Spying for another kingdom
  • Sexual Assault and Rape.
  • Breaking a Royal Members trust.
  • Bearing an elfling with someone from another kingdom.
  • Punishment: Immediate banishment from the kingdom or Execution.
Unbreakable Oaths:
  • It is not horrible to break an oath; however, it is frowned upon as one’s reputation will decrease twice-fold.
  • Oath’s made by the royal family are unbreakable.
  • The only oaths that can be withdrawn from are ones that commit a crime or ones that put an elves life in danger. If one’s life is in danger, it is passed onto the Varcanai Guard to fulfil as a matter of safety.
Judicial Body
The Elders of Claritas and the Virtuous Order are the judicial bodies of the kingdom who uphold the laws of the kingdom. The Varcanai Guard ensure the laws are maintained throughout the lands of Aethel Caeloria.
Executive Body
The Varcanai Guard is the executive body that enforces the laws throughout Aethel Caeloria. The Commander and Captain make sure every single member of the guard knows the crimes and their corresponding punishments off by heart to ensure they apply the correct consequence to the crime.
