The Little Red Undead Riding Hood

The party gets the chance to sort out the evil little bugger who corrupted Keller's Druid Circle. She's in Eschbach and looking to corrupt the Grove.

Plot points/Scenes

The players wake up as usual and are told that the red dressed girl was trying to get at Father Tossil and the Grove (again) last night. They suspect that she is hiding somewhere in town and may be hiding out in the region north west / north of the old town. She seems to be called Enneduanna and from the Near East originally, claiming to be thousands of years old.

In the Grove or Father Tossil , they are told she is trying to bring the "Gift of Eternal Living" to the religions in Europe and her masters would like to meet many of the religious leaders that are found. She will mention that the masters belong to the Court of the Pale Queen in the Carpathian Mountains and east of the dreaded Scholomance.

The players will find that there is the odd complaint from farmers made in the past day or so of some type of canine bothering their livestock and savage bloody bites made on the odd goat or sheep. The odd traveller mentions that they were followed by a small black dog along with a young girl in red trying to stay with them in & out of town.

One farmer will mention he owns land north a few hours to the north with an old overgrown Roman cemetery there where the Roman legion used the land to bury a number of their dead. It seemed that the legionnaires were buried there after an attack by Germanic warriors who won a battle there.

He had seen the dog and a flash of red in the cemetery there just before dawn.

If investigated there seems to be a disturbed grave where it has been converted recently, and used by something else. There they might find a clue that Enneduanna has been here. She seems to have left a sprinkling of different soil high in sand, and a couple of dog hairs.

If they look around too much, they may get attacked by 3 1d6 skeletons.

Other than that she is not to be found.

Around the Grove they may be able to speak to Slythra who will inform them that she smelled something old, very old as in ancient. That and she picked up the smell of ancient powerful blood. Something mixed with it too, something Fiendish.

A couple of attacks on locals may take place drawing the blood from them. They may be turned into vampire spawn. Two names may be Allan & Stefan, two low ranking Burgeaters who seem to now despise the sun and go out at night regularly. They seem to try to interact with the Grove & Church trying to tell the priesthoods that they should send representatives in to the mountains far in the east near the Black Sea, that there is the gift of immortality there and the people deserve to live forever.

If followed, both Allan & Stefan may lead the party to Enneduanna in a small overgrown clearing in the northern woodland. If questioned they won't reveal anything about her, and will refer to her as the Gift in Red.

There this the chance she will appear in town and the party can try to corner her. Her & her dog will likely try to persuade them to join her and if not, attack them. She is a vampire, her dog is a vampire spawn, and if Allan & Stefan still alive, they will attack too. Also, there may be 3 1d6 skeletons too, maybe armed & armoured like Roman Legionaries.

If the party is successful they have eliminated a threat and vengeance has been served by Keller.
