The Catch Up & Execution

The players get caught up a bit with business in the town, and have to deal with a possible execution.

Plot points/Scenes

Keller gets handed his staff by the Druids, and a good look at the animals including Slythra.

Archi is in his apothecary and gets to examine his vampiric wyrm egg. From what he can see, the vampiric wyrm is a mutation caused by rogue dark magic that is passed down from mother to egg. It is still in the foetal stage so it isn't of much use to anyone while in that state. and if examined closely it'll still be aggressive enough to try to bitte him. Also, he'll notice that there is small particles of black sand here & there on the egg and inside it.

As for the rest, they are requested by the Burgeaters.

When they go to the Barracks, they are shown down into the jail where two ragged First Men are. The players will not recognise these two but they do see that the two are in better shape than the ones they've seen before.

The Burgeaters captured them in the Library where they came up from the Underdark, attacked NINE, who is fine & alerted the guards. They were armed with a couple of poisoned blades each and carrying a bag with strange scribbling on it. It is used to hold powerful magical items and protect them from being seen or touched by magic.

Both will launch themselves at the players and demand where the Mask & Amulet of the Deep Ones are.

The Burgeaters have been talking to the Council and the Duke who wouldn't mind seeing them executed and the remains hung up on the other side of the crack in the wall below the Library.

The players also have a say in this and if carried out they are charged with both executing them and placing the bodies.
