Plants Vs Adventurers

The players regroup after the damage from the following day or two. Archi has to pay 100 gold to get work done to repair his home, and Magnar gets healed. They all have to attend the funerals of Bjorn and Edward the Monk.

After they sort this all out, they hear from some of the Goblins of Gitzburg that some of the hunters, shepherds and woodsmen that there has been attacks on them the past few days to the south of their town. It is hinted that it may be caused by Dark Fey trying to find a way to find a foothold in the area.

Nearly all seem to mention that the local plants themselves seem to come alive and attack them, also damaging any resources they have. The Goblins also are willing to help out by having a group of 10 of them accompany the group.

When shown the area it's forested and some swampy ground. There is a smell of death in the middle of the forested area, and if they go to the centre they will find a ruined set of standing stones, and the centre stone has recently have had the top cleared.

There is a crystal with a light sickly green glow emanating from it. If the players get close, it will pulse and plants will come alive and attack the players.

Also, there may be Displacer Beast & Dryad guardians.

If examined, the crystal is of obvious Fey design and seems related to certain Dark Fey, usually Hags. The crystal can't seem to be destroyed and may need took to Granny Barrowbye of the Grove. If the team do, they may be charged as the magic is highly dangerous and linked to Adalwolf due to a sigil that is on it. The magic to destroy it is highly dangerous and anybody trying to stop it may cause the magic to be rebounded on to that person.

If examined, the stone circle will show that it is linked to the worship of the Star Spawn as well. The players may find a sigil there too linking it to a Star Spawn Seer.
