The primary landward entry into Leolin Bay, where caravans, travellers, and inland merchants arrive. The Gate Ward is busy, noisy, and heavily regulated, with customs houses, guard barracks, stables, and traveller markets. It is the city’s first impression and its choke-point for taxation and security.
The beating commercial heart of the city. A vast open plaza surrounded by trading halls, guildhouses, artisan lanes, and food arcades. Everything that enters Leolin Bay eventually passes through this district. It is the city’s busiest and most eclectic space.
A sprawling waterfront of piers, shipyards, cargo lofts, and taverns. The Docks handle ocean traffic, Zephyrship mooring towers, river barges from the east, and naval supply operations. Chaotic, multilingual, and always on the edge of trouble.
A heavily shielded arcane-blacksite on a rocky peninsula of the north bank. The Null Vault houses dangerous artefacts, forbidden research, and state-sealed mana anomalies. Its staff are secretive, its boundaries warded, and its purpose largely unknown to the public.
The arcane-engineering heart of Leolin Bay. Centred on the triangular main Mana-Forge, this district houses ley stabilisers, Spindle foundries, mana-reactor converters, and the most advanced workshop complexes in Cezorus. Hot, loud, heavily supervised.
A broad sprawl of warehouses, factories, refineries, and labour housing. Less arcane than the Mana-Forge, but vital to the city’s economic machine. Smokesmiths, riveters, machinists, and dockside freight crews dominate the workforce.
The great stone-and-mana bridge that unites north and south Leolin Bay. This crossing is fortified, toll-managed, and always busy. Markets cluster around its ends, and patrols watch for smuggling or sabotage. It is the literal spine of the city.
Two vibrant zones of theatres, gaming houses, riverfront inns, bath-houses, and music halls. The northern one is smaller, rowdier, and dock-oriented; the southern crescent is more refined, fed by nobles, soldiers, and university patrons. Both are loud, colourful, and lively at all hours.
The headquarters of Leolin Bay’s soldiery. Barracks, armouries, training yards, siege stores, and command towers dominate this district. Positioned near the walls and close to the bridge for rapid deployment. The discipline here is iron-hard.
Dense homes, cheap inns, workshops, and labourer-driven commerce. This district supports the industrial side of the city and provides most of its workforce. Honest, gritty, and full of mutual aid networks — with occasional friction from the Entertainment zones.
Comfortable homes, bookshops, small theatres, civic halls, and mid-tier guildhouses. This district represents upward mobility in Leolin Bay and sits between labour and nobility in both culture and politics. Clean, orderly, aspirational.
The scholarly enclave of Leolin Bay. The University’s spires, lecture-halls, libraries, dormitories, and research gardens sit here, along with independent colleges and learned societies. A centre of debate, magic theory, and political intrigue.
Beautiful homes, private gardens, embassies, salons, and patron halls. This district houses influential merchant dynasties, noble families, and royal servants. Wealthy, refined, and guarded — the quiet courtly sphere that feeds into Palace politics.
The seat of royal authority, built upon the highest cliffs overlooking the bay and river mouth. Includes the palace itself, royal gardens, ceremonial terraces, and defensive bastions. It is the city’s political and symbolic apex.
A colossal floating or anchored arcane engine within the bay, away from the palace cliffs. It regulates ambient mana, powers large-scale infrastructure, and requires constant monitoring. Impressive, dangerous, and visible from nearly every district.
