Protodragon, Coatl

“A dream given feathers and prophecy.”

  Coatl protodragons are a radiant, feathered subspecies touched by celestial or spirit forces. Their long, serpentine bodies shimmer with iridescent scales and their wings bear brilliant plumage — sometimes too luminous for mundane eyes. Unlike their chromatic or metallic cousins, these protodragons speak rarely but wisely, favoring telepathy or riddles to vocalization.   They are drawn to those with purpose — visionaries, healers, or seekers of truth. Their presence is often accompanied by strange coincidences: shared dreams, sudden insight, or whispered warnings from nowhere. Though peaceful by nature, their ire is divine and swift when defending the innocent.   Their breath is more song than flame, and their strikes carry the weight of fate. Many believe these protodragons are echoes of Azlanti experiments or celestial emissaries born anew in scaled form.
