Valaskar

North Valaskar:

The northern coast of Valaskar is a violent clash of land and sea. Sheer cliffs watch silently over the northern Leviathan Sea. At the base of these cliffs the Norresk River mouth spews white water across jagged rocks. Known as the Hellgate, it is the only entrance to Valaskar by sea. On the cliffs and foothills to the east of the Norresk River lie the evergreen Vana Woods. West of the Norresk River the Norre mountains soften to wooded foothills as they meet the Inner Kingdom.  

Central Valaskar:

The Norre Mountains of central Valaskar are statuesque. From Valagird, located on the highest peak, one can see the Wailing Steppe to the east, the Inner Kingdom to the west, and the north flowing Norresk River below.

South Valaskar:

  Dominated by The Notch, where the Norre, Etru, and Karda Mountains join, south Valaskar teems with rivers. To the east rolls the Wailing Steppe with Hartheim as the furthest Valaskarran settlement. Within the Notch itself, bands of Skeinner train on the shores of Lake Brok under alpine boughs.

Timber: Logged from both the Vana Woods to the north and from the Notch to the south Valaskar is abundant in softwoods.   Ore: The southwest slopes of the Norre Mountains are home to many tin and silver mines.   Cattle: Many herds of cattle were domesticated on the edge of the Wailing Steppe.   Grain: The eastern foothills and plains that lead to the Wailing Steppe have particularly rich earth, as such grains of all varieties grow in abundance here.   Honey: Many bees come from across the Wailing Steppe attracted by Valaskars wildflowers. The locals have encouraged this by building apiaries to harvest the honey.
