Holst

Oldest of the Sversan settlements and home to the Golden Pens. Holsts foundation is the petrified trunk of an ancient ash tree. many chroniclers of the Inner Kingdom come to Holst to learn the runes and sagas carved in the petrified wood. Here also live the Auram, rams and ewes of great size with soft fleece the color of honey. Once a year on the summer solstice the Haussad gathers at Holst for the Hausmot. It is during the Hausmot the king reveals new laws and offers the leaders of the other Haus' the opportunity to challenge these new laws in a duel to first blood. Heads of the Haussad can at this time also challenge the reigning king for the right to rule though has not been done since Haus Vulda took over seventy-five years ago.
