Weapon of Binding

Magic Weapon or Ammunition Variant, rarity varies.
Attacks made with this weapon require the target to succeed on a Charisma saving throw or become magically bound to a radius from its location for a duration. A creature repeat the saving throw at the end of its turn, willing itself free from the magical bond on a success. Forced movement beyond the bond radius breaks the bond and frees the creature. You cannot use teleportation magic or other forms of forced movement on yourself while bound in this way.
Cost, rarity, save DC, range of still permitted movement, and duration of the effect all vary per weapon.
  Examples:
Arrow of Binding, Common, 25gp
When this arrow hits a creature they must succeed on a DC 15 Charisma saving throw or have their movement limited to a radius of 10ft from their current position for 1 minute.
  Shortsword of Binding, Uncommon, 1000gp
When you hit a creature with this weapon you can expend one charge to try to bind the creature. The creature must succeed on a DC 15 Charisma saving throw or have their movement limited to their current location for 1 minute. Holds 4 charges, regains 1d4 charges at dawn.
