Green Mage Covenant

A collective of villages and cities, united in culture. The Green Mage Covenant is ruled by mages and arcane scholars. Despite magic being the center point of governance, the Green Mage Covenant has the strictest laws regarding magics and the most resolute enforcement. The main inhabitants of these lands are Halflings who sailed away from their ancestral homeland of the Scarred Jungle and the now ruined city of Tamoria. The lands of the Green Mage Covenant were historically wastelands, inhabited by nomadic peoples who have since long either settled or been chased away by the frequent Orcish raids from the northeast. The green touch of Halfling hands and magics have been transformative, making it lush, fertile lands that feed many and then some more. The Halfling culture that is so prevalent in the Green Mage Covenant is the only culture in the mapped part of the world where the dead are buried instead of burned. This cultural phenomenon is also strongly tied to the strict anti-necromancy laws of the Green Mage Covenant.
