Ethal

Ethal was a village in the northwestern part of the Molik hills. Its inhabitants were primarily fishermen, farmers, and hunters.   It was partially destroyed in Harvest 2608 and fully abandoned by mid Decay. In late Growth of that year the lake rose to unusual heights followed by a storm in early Harvest that swept away the lower houses. Several days later the remainder of the town was sacked by giantkin. The giantkin, who lived on the northeastern side of the lake, likely also suffered from the storm and went to raid the town. It remained unclear if the giantkin were looking for supplies or if they had some grudge against the town. What is clear is that the raid was more devastating than normal.   The buildings that are still mostly intact are all on slightly elevated ground. Many are simply waiting to crumble as the occasional storm washes away their foundation.
