Culture and Cultural Heritage
Orc culture is heavily built upon the telling of stories to recount family history and ancient myths. All these tales are word of mouth, not a single tale is written down. Orcish story circles are common within families and tribes, often the eldest matriarch of the family or tribe will be the Preserver, only passing these tales to the eldest daughter of her family. In this way each tribe or family's history is orally saved.

History
Made by the God Ulm-Dolmar as a show of friendship to Grunjar in his image, the Orcs fought with the High Gods against the Low. But many Orcs were captured by them and dragged into the lower planes. When the dust finally settled upon Aeris, and the many peoples of the world began to create tribes, and early governments. While the Elves and Dwarves went to war the Orcs were organizing into tribes. These ancient tribes would go to war, gain and lose territory constantly, much like the humans of this time as well. When Moraphan rose to power he offered them glory, but they were all deceived. The Orcs under the hand of Moraphan the Crimson Lord brought bloody absolution upon the peoples of Aeris. Orcish hordes burned the countryside, raised villages, plundered the lands and killed thousands of innocents in their pursuit of a lie. When Moraphan was sealed in the depths of the sea, the Orcs were enraged by Moraphan's treachery. Some groups of Orc warbands went into the wilds to keep raiding and pillaging. But others joined the new Aerean Empire, and worked to repair the damage done. Ever since then the Orcs in society have fought stigmas and blatant specism. Even in the modern era Orcs still struggle with this. As Aeris becomes more and more divided, the Orcs find themselves divided too. Pitted against eachother on opposite sides of national conflicts, or in communities ripped apart by war.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Overall Orcs have rocky relationships with the other species of Aeris. Some species are especially hateful of Orcs, High Elves and many humans fear Orcs. Dwarves have been known to have good relationships with many Orc groups, although Orc raiding clans have often been known to wipe out whole Dwarven cities in order to hold a more fortified stronghold for their warband. But in addition, if the shear number of Half-Orcs is any indication interspecies relationships are many.
Subspecies
Orogs: A breed of orcs descended from mountain orcs who live mostly in the Underdark, though in recent years they have been returning to the surface in large numbers and taking over Mountain orc tribes, using their abilities to bully their 'lessers' and plan raids. Ogrillons: The result of orcs breeding with ogres. Ondontis: A pacifist cousin of the orc with a fey nature. Neo-orogs: Magical hybrids of gray orcs, orogs, and other creatures. Generally split into two groups, black (trained as scouts) and red (trained as elite shock troops) Boogins: The result of mountain orcs breeding with quaggoths. Or'Dakai: Orcs twisted by Moraphan's deceptions and by his cruel magiks. While not strictly subraces the result of a human and orc breeding is known as a half-orc while the offspring of a half-fiend and orc is a tanarukk.
