Crested Bison
The Crested Bison is similar in appearance to its real-life counterparts, with a robust body, muscular build, and a hump on its back. However, what truly distinguishes this species is its unique crested mane that extends from its head to the middle of its back. The crest is formed by long, shaggy hair that gives the bison a regal and imposing presence.
Both males and females of the Crested Bison possess formidable horns. The horns are large and curved, growing outward and upward from the sides of their heads. The males' horns are generally larger and more massive than those of the females, and they serve as displays of dominance and strength during mating seasons and territorial disputes.
The bison's fur is thick and dense, providing insulation and protection against the elements. It commonly exhibits shades of brown, with occasional variations of lighter or darker tones, allowing it to blend harmoniously with its grassland and forest habitats.
Crested Bisons are herbivores, feeding on a variety of grasses, herbs, and shrubs that are abundant in their environment. They graze in large herds, moving together across the landscape in search of the most nutritious vegetation. These herds, led by experienced females, provide safety in numbers and allow for effective defense against predators.
