Zethari-Ostarian War
The Conflict
Prelude
After the conclusion of the bloody Ostarian civil war in 2806, the western half of the Kingdom of Ostaria became an independent nation, becoming known as Zetharia. Apart from minor skirmishes, Ostaria and Zetharia would have little direct conflict, as both were in the process of post-war reconstruction. However, in 2836, King Desius of Ostaria would declare war upon Zetharia on the advice of the Empire of Maza, intent on retaking the territory lost in the civil war. The Empire of Maza would supply Ostaria with 25,000 infantry as well as 5,000 unaffiliated mercenary soldiers in exchange for Ostaria becoming a vassal state of the empire after the war. Zetharia managed to secure reinforcements from the nearby nation of Besdur as well as the city state of Hastilax.
