Vampires

Vampires come in many forms. From hulking bestial abominations to refined and cultured nobles nestled within a city or town. They all share the curse of drinking blood for sustenance and the powers this gives them. Most remain hidden, either in plain sight or out in the wilds of Aenerion, but some can be overt with their true nature in order to gain power or stay on the good side of those they have chosen to protect. Those that do risk the eye of an inquisition or worse, their more reclusive counterparts, who wish to minimise the knowledge of their kind.

A vampire that is tolerated by a populus is often in service to The Raven Queen in repentance to their unholy nature or maybe criminal overlords, their very nature sowing dispair amongst those that serve them. Wether beholden to the ruling vampire familes or surviving on their own each is a slave to their base nature; no matter how well practiced they are at controlling their hunger.
