The Sundering

The Sundering was a war of unfathomable scale. Told of Encompassing the whole of the earth. Some of the greatest, almost mythical, heroes to ever walk onto the field of battle. The Sundreing has been known by many names; The Elder War, The Great Elf War, War of Darkness are just a few examples. The war was so large and pivotal that scribes and learned men within The Alliance used it's end to establish the current age. A lot of tradition and legend remain from this event but most actual history of the events, places, and people have been lost to time.

It Is under debate by the scholars of The Alliance, the Conclave of Prospero and other knowledgeable groups, if this war was the cause or result of groups from each Elder Races turning against each other and themselves. Eventually The Council of Nikea and help from deities in the form of Aasimar were the core that stood against the torrent of darkness that poured into the land, they called themselves The Alliance. Other "good aligned" races would eventually join The Alliance and would help in the war effort in any way they could.
