Illithor - The Crimson Harbinger

Illithor (a.k.a. The Crimson Harbringer)

Illithor, known as the Crimson Harbinger, is the god of slaughter and suffering and is one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse created by the archdemon Malroth. Illithor's divine purpose is to spread murder and violence across the realms, urging his followers to inflict maximum pain and agony on others. He thrives on the chaos and despair that his malevolent influence brings to the world.   Illithor's symbols include a blood-stained scythe, a broken skull, and chains, representing his dominion over murder, torture, and the excruciating suffering of his victims. His attributes are cruel, ruthless, and bloodthirsty, embodying the darkest aspects of mortal and demonic nature.   Affiliated with the four horsemen of the apocalypse, Illithor works in unison with his brethren, each of whom embodies a different facet of destruction and sin. Together, they serve the archdemon Malroth, whose ultimate goal is to bring about the end of the universe and plunge the world into eternal darkness and sin.   Illithor is worshipped by murderers, torturers, and hemomancers—those who manipulate blood for dark and nefarious purposes. These twisted devotees seek to honor Illithor by committing acts of violence and brutality, reveling in the suffering of their victims. They are often found in secret cults and dark covens, where they perform gruesome rituals to gain favor and power from their malevolent deity.   Legends speak of Illithor's delight in the anguish of the living, drawing strength from the cries of the tormented and the blood spilled in his name. His presence is felt in the darkest corners of the world, where despair and cruelty reign supreme.
