Akathis - The Ashen Empress

Akathis, known as the Ashen Empress, is the patron goddess of undeath and necromancy, and one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse. Revered as the mother of all undead creatures, Akathis views her creations as her eternal slaves, bound to her will in a dark and unholy servitude. Her dominion over the forces of undeath makes her a formidable and terrifying deity.   Akathis's symbols include a skull crowned with black roses, a shadowy hourglass, and a skeletal hand holding a scepter, representing her command over death and her mastery of necromantic arts. Her attributes are dark, commanding, and relentless, embodying the unending power and control she exerts over the undead.   As the goddess of undeath, Akathis is worshipped by practitioners of necromancy who seek her wisdom and power in their dark arts. Necromancers, liches, vampires, death knights, and other intelligent undead forms revere her as their creator and mistress, drawing strength and guidance from her malevolent influence.   Akathis's followers believe that death is not an end but a transformation, an entry into a new form of existence under her dominion. They strive to perfect the art of necromancy, creating undead minions to serve their purposes and furthering Akathis's will in the mortal realm.   As one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse, Akathis works alongside Dukaath, Illithor, and Zu’Gara to bring about the end of the universe.
