Stormsilver

Stormsilver is a variant of silver with magical properties. This metal has so far only been found underneath the mountains near the town of Thenaphor, which has been a significant boon to their economy. Stormsilver has the ability to absorb and store an electrical charge. In its natural state, it can't store very much -- but once it is refined, it can absorb the energy from a lightning bolt. The refined form can also be powderized and dilluted in an alchemical solution to impart a reduced electrical absorption effect to materials, such as leather, treated with the solution. This material is especially valuable to the Dwarves of Reshyk, as this property of the metal has many applications to Runetech. They are the most frequent buyers of this material.

One of the most common usages of this material is to create armor that can resist lightning to protect against evocation magic. However, it can also be used to store an electrical charge in a weapon made of the material, which can then be discharged to direct the electricity back at the target.
