Session 9

General Summary

Party wrapped up the combat at Thunder Pass. Dain tried to open the chest in the treasure room, but didn't check for traps and got an explosion right to the face, destroying the potions and wand inside. Tamas tried to cook for the party, but burnt his meat pie. Party found another encoded letter in the Hobgoblin's room and a map pointing out a third unknown location in the Taungar Valley in the woods close to Eldham.

Party headed back to the Dead Goose Inn and relayed information about Thunder Pass to Merith and Kendel. Kendel noted that the most vulnerable location in Eldham if the Goblins were to tunnel underneath the city and use explosives would be underneath the Human quarter due to the large open spaces in the sewers below. Hearing this, Tamas ran out of the Inn and went looking for Ronan, whom he could not find. He went to a guardhouse and paid a guard 10 GP to go looking for Ronan.

Dain located what he believes to be the home of Khatar Ravacan, the murdered Wizard whom had discovered methods to detect and ward off Goblins. The house was abandoned, but the doors and windows had magical wards barring Dain's entry.

Tamas constructed a Masterwork Light Crossbow for 312 GP.

Anlon found the Elf / Human couple they met in the woods on the way back from the slaver's den in the town courtyard, with the Elf woman in the stocks, badly beaten, and the Human man being dragged off by an angry mob. Anlon subtly cast Sanctuary on the woman causing the crowd to miss throwing rotten food at her and hit each other, causing a mild riot. He then transformed into his radiant form and intimidated the crowd into releasing the man, and flew the couple to the town gates and paid for a horse for them and sent them off to Mythwell.

Party received a lead and were given the location of an entrance to the sewers in the Human quarter. They set off to enter the sewers and search for Ronan and/or the Goblin explosives.
