Session 6

Party returned to the Dead Goose Inn, but Merith was nowhere to be seen. Instead, they saw Galan sitting at a table. Party spoke with Galan, who alluded to Merith being "busy" with a conveniently timed thump from upstairs and a giggle, and then gave them the information about the Humans being captured as slaves in the wilderness. Galan requested they bring the Hobgoblin Captain (taskmaster) back alive and to bring his mother Helgi back safely. Party tracked the Goblins from the wreckage of the caravan to a clearing where they heard a woman screaming.

Party successfully obliterates the two Shadeskin Goblins and finds the Dagger of Venom and other loot. They then mosey on over to the cave entrance where they find the second Goblin lair.

Party destroys the three scarecrows at the entrance to the lair and Summer recklessly waltzes down the passage directly ahead, nearly being impaled by the giant bear trap and alerting the Goblins in the room ahead. Cue a long battle where after they killed the first two Goblins, the third ran over to the south room (the forge) and knocked on the door, alerting another group of Goblins and a Bugbear.

During the battle, Summer deliberately attempted to attack a Goblin who had decided to use one of the Humans as a shield and missed, killing the Human smith. Tamas attempted to discern who killed him after the battle and was only able to determine that it was not a Goblin-made arrow that killed him, but he could not identify who the arrow belonged to.

The remaining Human is the architect / engineer responsible for instructing the Goblins on how to carve out the stone passages and make more advanced dwellings, and is being forced to design black powder bombs for the Goblins. The schematics for which are on the drafting table in the forge room. The Human's name is Remus.
