Session 59

The party arrives at the gates to the city of Odracanath and speaks with the Enforcer at the gates, briefly spouting off their life stories and current mission, to an unimpressed Enforcer. They get directions to several businesses in the city, including Texa's Textiles, a tailor who can assist them in making some clothing to brave the harsh weather ahead of them. He also directs Dain to a shop that carries items of a magical nature called Beyond the Veil.

The party goes on a shopping spree, with Dain stopping in at Texa's Textiles to put in an order for some cold weather clothing, before he heads over to Beyond the Veil and purchases some Boots of the Winterlands. Icarus manages to sell a handful of Giant's teeth he had inexplicably been carrying all this time after dealing with a Hill Giant months prior, to an alchemist named Griswold (who sounds like Tweak from South Park meets Gollum), who promises to brew him a potion that will make him as "hardy" as a Giant. Icarus and Summer then purchase some explosive arrows for a steep price of 100 GP / 5 arrows.

The party makes their way over to the most notorious inn in Odracanath, known as the Farting Gargoyle, where Icarus feels a spark of creativity and offers the owner, Wayne Altard, his services to cook something up to sell the inn patrons, inventing the Bloomin' Onion (or Blooming Tower as Icarus calls it) in the process. Icarus then sells the recipe to Wayne.

The party makes their way out of the city the following day, collecting their cold weather gear from Texa before continuing along their journey to Crystalwind. However, along the road, they are beset by a blizzard which delayed their journey by almost 2 weeks, during which, the frigid conditions got so bad that Dain elected to retreat into the pocket dimension provided by the Key of Umos' Respite for a time, recuperating in the cozy inn found within the strange world with a shifting Van Gogh's Starry Night type sky. After leaving, the party continues, but is delayed further by an attack from Tundra Goblins. The goblins however, stood no chance, and were dispatched by the group.

The party arrives in Crystalwind, a small fishing village in the tundra inhabited by mostly Goliaths and snow lynx Tabaxi.
