Session 39

The players return to Esta Fadi's home intending to see if anyone has come to investigate the alarm from the laboratory. When they find the house still silent and dark, they move in to recover the notes they realized they didn't grab while in the laboratory. After recovering the notes they realize there are drawings of the Voidspawn they fought on there. Upon attempting to leave, Grim notices dark figures entering the house and Summer is confronted by Esta herself. They fight and Esta is killed and her soul is absorbed by the void. Grim uses the body of one cultist to beat another cultist to death. Kongol steals 12 books from Esta's lab. They then decide to burn down the house.

Grim returns to the scene of the crime in the morning to see if the Enforcers discovered the necromancy book they left behind to implicate Esta. Invisibly, they witness the Enforcers find the book and question it sheepishly. When Grim asks about what happened, the Enforcers seem suspicious of him because his kind are an extreme rarity in the area.

The group recovers at the Dead Goose and sleeps off the battle. In the morning, they relay information about Esta to Merith and decide to gather information about the rest of the names on the list.

Summer and Kongol go to the Temple of Lys to try to find some kind of information on Belegor but Summer just cases the place and decides not to try to investigate during the day due to all the priests roaming about.
