Session 32

The players were contacted by a member of the Unseen Claw, a group of insurgents trying to overthrow the Ouroboros Conclave -- the tyrannical ruling council of Yuan-Ti in the city of Laresos. This black Dragonborn, Norixius, requested that the players ambush a caravan of Yuan-Ti transporting a powerful artifact of unknown origin and purpose to Laresos. He told the party that it would be passing through the Savage Peaks and he gave them a map to a location where they could ambush the caravan.

The players made their way to the staging area, ignoring Norixius' suggestions (not paying attention) to attack from the cliff facing with explosives, and attacked the caravan directly. They were overwhelmed pretty quickly until the noise from the battle attracted the attention of a giant snake who charged out and attacked the Yuan-Ti before attempting to also attack the players. Ultimately the players were victorious, but three of them were nearly killed.

The players recovered a chest containing a large amount of coin and an amulet from the cart, but did not search further and failed to notice the logbook that would have given them information on the nature of the amulet. Instead, they returned to Norixius, who through fiddling around with the amulet, accidentally activated it, creating a void portal on the wall of the taproom. One of the players attempted to smash the amulet with their axe only to be flung violently against the wall. On a hunch, the players decided to go through the portal. They decided to take the gold they found in the chest with them, angering Norixius, who did not follow them through out of fear of the magic.

The players were violently ejected out the other side of the portal before it closed behind them. They found themselves in a strange world with a blue sky and green grass with three moons (they had never seen a moon) in the sky. Before they had time to ponder this, they were noticed by a passing pair of Humans, a sorcerer and a warrior. The players prepared to attack after the Humans tried and failed to communicate with them. They nearly attacked but were stopped when the Human woman cast Comprehend Languages and spoke to them.

The woman introduced herself as Anna and the man as Garvin, and said she was a member of the Sorcerer's Cabal and questioned them about their origin. The players were very suspicious of her and her magic, but she managed to convince them that she was no threat. The party explained their origin and what dragons were, horrifying the woman, and she explained that they were on the planet of Aellorah, specifically on the continent of Myr. She asked if they would join her to travel to the nearest Cabal tower to speak with Archmage Kyran to see if he could assist them and warned them that the Empire of Myr would be hostile to them due to their unfamiliar appearance.
