Session 31

The players fought a hard battle and managed to defeat the final wave of Goblins. As Rhys was near death, he fished out a small charm and held it aloft, muttering a spell, intending to teleport away. As he did that, Adamar appeared behind him and snatched the charm away before Disintegrating Rhys, calling him an idiot child who had outlived his usefulness, and telling the part that he is done attacking them directly, and that he will kill everyone the party cares about. Finally, Merith and Talindra arrived just too late and missed the battle.

The party managed to gather enough food for the Human's Festival of Renewal and created a bonfire out of the Goblin bodies and drank away their cares for a few days. Merith informed the party that she had sent word to Kendel to dispatch a detachment to Fort Elden to protect the Humans within its walls and act as the fort's garrison. Once the detachment arrived, they informed the party that many humans had been slaughtered in the fighting in the Human quarter, but the weapons Tamas left behind gave them a fighting chance and roughly 500 Humans remained in the quarter after Reginard managed to evacuate about 100 of them. The Enforcers are blockading the Human quarter and planning to move in to attack the Humans.

The party made plans to set Magistrate Eldar's manor on fire as a distraction and try to evacuate the remaining Humans from the city. As they set off to begin, the Wellspring east of Mythwell erupted, striking every Elf and Human in sight with glowing blue orbs which knocked them off their feet, but seemingly changed nothing. Roughly half the Enforcers and many citizens fled in a panic, leaving a hole in the defenses surrounding the Human quarter.
