Session 25
General Summary
The party returned to the Dead Goose to rest for the night. After having breakfast the following morning, Tabitha tells them that a messenger came shortly before they came down to ask the party to head over to the Messy Cushion at Reginard's request. The party complied and found the tavern looking as if it was closed for business. Suspicious, the party carefully entered to find Reginard, Kendel, and Merith talking to two soldier looking characters. The soldier was introduced as Brisaine.
Brisaine informed the party that a retired fort, known as Fort Elden, has been recently occupied by Goblins. He told them that although it is retired and in disrepair, it is still in a key location near the main road between Eldham and Mythwell, and the Goblin presence there could cause disruptions in trade between the two cities. Brisaine offered that if the players were to clear it out, they would be awarded with Fort Elden itself as their payment, as Mythwell's military no longer has any need for it. The players gladly accepted and went out to stock up for the journey.
Dain attempted to open Rhys' magically sealed chest. Anlon was able to successfully dispel the barrier surrounding it after Mai failed to, but Dain attempted twice to open it carefully with Mason's Tools, but broke two sets before giving up. After this, the party headed out to leave for Fort Elden.
Along the way to Fort Elden, on the road, the party was ambushed by a group of three Bulettes, who dealt the party some heavy blows, but ultimately, were not strong enough to overcome the party. Tamas managed to harvest some teeth and meat from the dead Bulettes. Due to injuries sustained, the party decided to rest for the night and approach Fort Elden bright and early before sunrise.
Party was spotted by the Sentry Goblins while trying to stealthily approach Fort Elden and a battle ensued.
