Session 22

General Summary

Party called out to Nilus, but they noticed the skies darkening and a fog moving in, and then noticed dark forms moving fast through the fog. Nilus called out to the Bloodletter Goblins to finish them, and the party was attacked. They took a couple bites, but overall were unharmed.

Anlon caught up to Nilus hiding behind the ruined wall outside the Abbey and didn't even bother to question him. He just hit him with Sacred Flame. Nilus accidentally let Rhys' name slip and seemed horrified, and then suddenly began convulsing and foaming at the mouth. Anlon decided to finish the job and turned him into a crispy critter.

After investigating the back room, the party found a notebook with detailed notes on how to brew a Potion of Healing and a garden out back with the Lyska Root required to brew some. The party grabbed the Giant Skeleton's head and set off back to Eldham. They arrived past midnight and immediately got a room and spent the night at the Dead Goose Inn.

Dain went to visit Reginard while the rest of the party went out searching for a buyer for the Giant Skeleton skull. Dain asked Reginard about Tess and about finding an herbalist so he could procure more Lyska Root. Reginard pointed Dain towards Giselle Prestcote, a Human whose shop was seized by the Magistrate after the anti-Human proclamation. Dain went to visit Giselle and proposed a business arrangement where she would secretly do the work in the back of the shop and he would hire someone to run the shop front, and Reginard would help construct an escape hatch to the sewers where Giselle could hide in case the Enforcers decided to search the back. I quoted Dain at 1,500 GP to buy Giselle's shop from the city.

Tamas, Summer, and Anlon found a curio collector in the aristocratic district who was quite eccentric, and he offered to buy the skull for 500 GP, but they haggled and got 800 GP.
