Session 20

Party withered the Goblin Warlord's corpse and buried him in Marcel's place to attempt to throw off anyone who comes looking for Marcel's body. Decided to cast Gentle Repose on his body so he wouldn't decay further and they could ask him more questions via Speak with Dead.

Party spends downtime waiting for Speak with Dead to "recharge" so they could speak with Marcel again. During this time, Dain created a magical item, Tamas worked on training Ronan, and Summer stayed in the wilderness, believing the Enforcers would be looking for her because of the break-in.

Party returns to try to find Marcel's body at the gorge where they hid it. They find that his body is missing and it seems to have been dug up. They decide to return to Eldham.

Party hears about a proclamation Eldar will be making at noon and they go to see it at the city square, where pretty much the entire town has gathered. They witness a politician delivering the anti-Human proclamation. The Humans in the crowd are in uproar while the Elves are either indifferent, disapproving, or outright joyful. The party decides to return to the Dead Goose to tell Tabitha what the proclamation was about, seeing no other leads.

Along the way to the Dead Goose, the party encounters a small Human child, Sabine Gabor, playing with magic in the street. Her parents attempt to stop her, fearful due to the recent proclamation. A group of Enforcers who witnessed Sabine playing with magic, emboldened by the proclamation, accost the parents and try to take Sabine away. They club the father to death when he resists, and Sabine's Wellspring-fueled powers manifest in an explosive way as she screams in terror, conjuring a Fireball which blows apart the group of Enforcers, as well as her own mother. The remaining Enforcer who was dragging Sabine away attempted to kill her, but Dain intervened, casting Sanctuary on her. The Enforcer called for reinforcements, and nearby Enforcers who heard the blast came and engaged the party. The Enforcers were defeated, but not before dealing a decent amount of damage and almost killing Nuggie and Ronan.
