Rundvarek

Rundvarek ("rune technology") is the name given to the various technologies that the Dwarves of Reshyk have invented due to their deep understanding of magic. Rundvarek is not conventional technology in that it does not use electricity. Rundvarek are actually simply hyper advanced enchanted items whose enchantments are so far beyond the understanding of Sorcerers of other races that it seems beyond magic. Rundvarek is made possible by the vast amounts of Flow energy that the Dwarves have been able to harness with the invention of Svall Jalmyrnia and Svall Torikia.
  The Dwarves discovered that conventional enchanted items are no different than the way spellcasters consume Flow to cast spells. It is essentially imprinting a spell onto an inanimate object and giving it an activation phrase and rather than the spellcaster using up his Flow reserves for the day, the item draws Flow out of the atmosphere. Normally, there are limits to how much Flow an enchanted item is capable of holding, similar to a Flow Lock, but with the addition of Svall Torikia, this restriction is removed. Rundvarek that consumes Flow from a Svall Torik is far less efficient than the amount of Flow a spellcaster or conventional enchanted item would require to perform the spell, but it allows the item to be used repeatedly.
  The Dwarves have built Svall Jalmyrnia all around Aellor's Wellspring, giving them a near endless supply of Flow energy to power their Rundvarek. This has made them a godlike power compared to the other races of Aellorah. It is because of the dangers of this knowledge becoming known to the rest of the world that the Dwarves have chosen to forbid non-Dwarves from going anywhere on Reshyk except the city of Ilmerglain.
