Sin'Ras

The town of Sin'Ras was founded between the forks of the Dirtcarve River and sits across a large hill. On the one side the river flows steadily and boats often float north to Crathe or south to the ocean. On the other side it cascades down and flows into several layers of raised ponds. Here the town has set up fisheries to catch and harvest many types of freshwater fish.   Until recently there was two families that were in charge of the town in different aspects. For the larger, general affairs the Brokko family was responsible. They also were in charge of trading the towns fish to the rest of the country, ensuring a steady stream of income for its inhabitants.   The Scantin family solely focused on the fishing aspect for the town. They would breed, tend, catch and prepare the fish that would then be sold and eaten. After a scandal involving the Brokko family, the Scantin's took complete control over the town. This was received well by the rest of the inhabitants who believe they will make Sin'Ras much more prosperous in the years to come.   Day to day life is quiet in Sin'Ras. Most townsfolk will spend several hours tending to the fisheries. Ensuring the water is kept clean, food is available and netting is in good condition are common daily tasks. Other common work includes fishmongering in one of the large warehouses and storing the prepared fish in the cool-cellars. Several of the townsfolk make regular trade trips to other towns and villages with the larger shipments going directly to Crathe.   Due to the prosperous trade people of the town are able to afford a nicer lifestyle than most commoners would experience. While not rich, they are able to afford nicer clothing and foods, better materials for homes and tend to splurge when it comes to festivals. Any celebration in Sin'Ras is a memorable one, with large banquets, excessive decorations and lots of music.

Industry & Trade

While fish make up the majority of the towns trade as a food source, there is a smaller market that has been expanding for breeding and selling exotic fish. These are typically brought by nobility to fill their ponds and are brought for considerable prices.
