Nura
Domain of Nature
Nura is the Goddess of Nature, worshipped as a wild being who's temperament can be hard to pick. She is the nurturer of wild animals and all plant life, ensuring they are able to grow and prosper where her power resides. A commonly worshipped God amongst druids, rangers and farmers everywhere. Shrines can be found in most farming settlements while larger places of worship can be found in the holy grounds of various druidic circles. These places of worship are usually mostly, if not entirely natural in creation and are amongst the most breathtaking and amazing of natures work. An open plateau high above the treeline that is entirely bathed in silver moonlight, or a hidden clearing where a rare and beautiful flower grows abbundantly are the sort of places druids pick for their worship. Often travelers will find small makeshift shrines where offerings have been made by rangers making their way through untamed and dangerous lands. When praying to Nura it is often for for two reasons. Travelers will pray for safe passage through her wild domains or farmers will wish for healthy and abundant crops and livestock. More rarely amongst common folk but often amongst druids, prayers to Nura will be for the return and preservation of the wild lands. Something that is ever shrinking as new settlements are raised and roads built. While worship of Nura is typically a common occurance done by many people across the plane, you would be hard pressed to find a priest in most civilised places. Often if a priest is needed people will seek out their local druidic circle and request they perform whatever prayer or ritual is required. Tales have been told of people lost in a sprawling forest, snowy plains, fog clouded swamps or a trecherious mountain range, only to be led to safety by a strange animal of unusual proportions. It is believed this is Nura in an animalistic form helping those that worship her through the trials of the wilds. Others believe that she has simply blessed whichever creature to be a guide to those wondering its habitat.
