"Who, Hok? You're not the first person to ask me about her, you know. I wouldn't bother if I were you. She only shows up to sell her pelts, then vanishes back into the wilderness until next season. Never says anything, even in the market. She just looks at you until you offer the price she wants. They say that she walked into Dutywhiskered a few months ago covered in so much blood and bruises that they almost didn't recognize her. Two days later, she just wandered back into the wilderness, wounds and all."Hok was born to unknown parentage the year 187, in the small hamlet of Dutywhiskered. Though she began her professional life as a farmer at 13 years old, presumably following in the footsteps of her parents, she gave up this life of safety a mere four years later to hunt great beasts in the Colorless Field. At the age of 17, Hok the Great Beast Huntress took up residence in the Colorless Field itself, outside of the hamlets that dot its hills. Soon, the skins she sold when visiting these towns gave her the name Cleanskins. Throughout her time as a great beast huntress, Hok was always looking for larger and larger prey, eager to earn a true legacy. Later on, her story, Alone on the Colorless Field , was curated and told by the minotaur Kirar Boltspurts. Though generally an outcast of society, Kirar has nonetheless managed to spread her story to quite a number of ears throughout the world.
