Personal history
While an elven mortal in Aedelor, Cadrieth was so voracious for knowledge and the unknown that he eventually stumbled upon something that drove him completely mad. He became quite powerful despite his madness, and his knowledge was so valuable that it was desired even by some gods. After ascending to godhood with the help of Aristophane, he took the form of a great serpent that never ceases movement, always seeking more information which in turn makes him continue to grow. One prophecy foretells that Cadrieth's destruction will be self-inflicted when, in his never-ending search for knowledge to consume, he instead consumes himself by mistake.
