Black Market
The black market is a shadow economy meant to enable the illegal purchase of otherwise unobtainable goods. Many things can be bought through the black market, but the risk of criminal punishment is enough of a deterrent for most folk. But for those in dire need or those with disregard for the law, the black market can be a handy tool. Selling everything from potions to magic items and poisons to back-alley resurrections, one can obtain goods and services that are either cheaper or leave less of a paper trail. However, access to the black market is limited by who you know.
The black market is less of an organization as it is a string of connections between merchants with expertise in goods outside of the law. Finding your contact can prove difficult; asking the wrong person may tip you off to the guards, and asking the right person doesn't guarantee they'll let you in on their merchandise. One merchant may not have what you need, but it is more than likely that they know someone who does. Some sellers are quick to give this information, while others might require some persuasion, usually in the form of coin.
