The Spiritual Severing Agreement
Though no less important, this particular document sees far less fame and prestige than those that would come to form the Magisterium, despite being one penned at exactly the same time and singlehandedly responsible for the great schism, the separating into truly individual religions, but while maintaining and avoiding religious war, that we see today. Nine religions, equals, joined under the understanding of the importance of the Ascended, but each fundamentally different and in many ways having opposed, or at least less than ideologically compatible ideals. Despite that they were once under one fist, one unity, but a unity only built on religious crusade, violence and unreasonable hate. That hatred included exiling one of their own, regardless to fundamental truths of their venerated ancestors, for these were not far flung individuals from when their dieties were mortal. They had pitted followers of the husband against the wife, they were declaring all magick of any arcane nature heretical and Void bound, and slaughtering them rampantly in a glut that surely Iracundia itself, the dark lord of slaughter and Wrath, took joy in. They would have caused another Sundering. Thusly when thankfully at the eleventh hour calmer heads finally prevailed, the necessity was given life and weight but the still young nation states. No more would the church of the Ascended be allowed to exist as a singular organization. Faith is to powerful a weapon when misused by fools. Thus Pactim Severa Soulistic, also more commonly known by its legal name, the Spiritual Severing Agreement. A monumnetal task not unlike that of the founding of the Magisterium, but where one sought centralized recognition and a level of authority, this sought to limit power and prestige due to a need. Some might argue that need was only percieved, not actually required, others will argue it was. The truth of the matter is likely to never be known. For none of us were around to live and see what was occuring, to understand the depth of it with first hand knowledge. So all we can truly do is debate it in classroom settings such as this one."

Document Structure
Clauses
One of the largest and most important parts of how this document functions and helps maintain this status quo is actually tied to a truly marvelous bit of spellwork that cost some of the first archmagisters of the Magisterium, including the legendary Elysia Tel'ni'vairi their lives. That is the forging, imbuing and creation of Solarian, the Star Blade a mythological holy artifact that hasn't been seen in some six hundred years since the last time it appeared again, a warning of the epidemic of Void Incursions and the Norvi invasion in northern Durol that would arrive in the late 900s AoR.
This artifact is directly tied to this document with equal parts prayer, arcane magick and deep curse. Some even believe there may have been a bit of the Void involved, though this is clearly ridiculous as a theory, for that taint would have ruined the item and its intended purpose. The nine churches cannot, they are bound by magick so strong the ideas cannot even cross the minds of their leadership, unify under the call of a crusade. They are simply unable to form the idea, the thought, and remain so until the blade finds the woman (and it is always a woman) whom is of the blood of creation herself, in the times it returns to herald a return. Three times since its forging it has reappeared, each time decades passed before it found the person meant to wield it, and then the city of Spirits, the lost Isle of Nightvale, reveals itself, and the seat of power that once existed the unified seat of the Ascended as a singular entity returns to the realm so this Empress of Divines can claim the Holy Seat and issue the decree, the call to arms. A crusade will thus begin, targeted not by any of the faithful, but by one adorned by the fates, by creation itself, to defend Valerick and will her most faithful to stand at the defense of their home. Elegant and yet one might argue cruel and unusual, however a sound method that has held for at least fifteen hundred years and counting, likely more as the Eras of Valerick's timeline are still somewhat tangled mysterise in the earliest days, even at the tale end of the Sundering, marked with SuD. Most thinke those last few years were the first years of the calendar system we have now, however others are dubious of that believe and thus think this curse-treaty has held for over two thousand years. Either way, the magick on this is mighty indeed.
