Life for Life
As a magister of the Amethyst achieves true symbiosis, true understanding of the principles of balance and equivalence, and a true mastery of their control of Lobhadh, of Entropy, they become able to do some truly terrifying and powerful things, especially at the moment where a creature would pass between life to death.
Effect
Basic Effects: For a magister of Entropy, the moment of death, that transition from alive to dead is a massively powerful moment, filled with a monstrous amount of Lobhadh that is ripe for manipulating. However this moment is brief and as Lobhadh is difficult to move, oft compared to things like molasses, there is a high skill threshold to utilizing that moment to weave a truly powerful spell-form.
This spell-form is designed to harness that moment, in the simplest and yet most devastatingly powerful method possible. To shift the moment to another. When weaving this spell-form, you do not waste much time trying to shape the mass of Lobhadh so much as merely shift it, at speed, from one individual creature to another. You pick two targets, the first must be a creature currently dying when you react. Maybe an ally whom has failed their third death save (you would know, even if your group normally rolls Death Saves in secret, your GM should tell you, as an Amethyst Magister you would know) or an enemy who just suffered what should be a killing blow.
You then pick another target. This secondary target makes a Toughness Defensive Test. If they fail, they simply cease to be, dying instead of the first target, that final release of entropic energy in a volatile, shredding mess occuring within them, not the initial target. If they succeed the Defensive Test, they still take 8d6 Necrotic Damage.
Mortalize: This spellform cannot target a Construct, Nightmare, or Restless Dead creature to save it, they can only be the secondary target. If they are the secondary target, and make the Defensive Test, they take the damage as Force damage not Necrotic Damage.

Manifestation
Alexander felt the blackness closing in around him, even as he tried to keep consciousness, the warrior knew he was dying. His final thoughts, of love felt, but never attempted, as he watched Theo, wishing beyond all else that he had ever told the musketeer how he felt. Too scared of rejection, to scared of creating awkwardness amongst his comrades in arms. Alex closed his eyes, not a religious man, as he felt blood welling up his throat from his lungs. "You damned fool, letting an orc fool you with such a simple feint. The beast probably wasn't even trying to pull off such a maneuvor, and you let it anyway. Shameful!"
As he began to ready himself to accept death, Alexander realized he felt something odd. His consciousness was slipping, yet there was still pain. The pain did not fade, but stayed steady. And he watched in his last moments of consciousness as Carlyle came into view, one hand tilted in his direction, the other to the large ork warboss, whom was doubled over, clenching its chest, face gone pale. Alexander's last conscious thoughts were ones of humorous irony "A death mage, perserving a life. How quaint."
