Iztik Bloodrush

Blood-Blessed Iztik Bloodrush

"Rip them, tear them, maim and kill. Take what you wish from their bodies but leave their heads. Those blood-drenched trophies belong only to The Great Slaughter!"

Iztik Bloodrush's blood thirsty commands of those greenskins around them in battle, rallying them to greater violence in Iracundia's name.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Iztik, much like their fellow shaman Anzik, was known to be blessed by Iracundia quite young. Their paths in the tribe were quite similar early on, with Iztik coming to swiftly become the dominant amongst her brood, slaughtering and killing a notable amount of her brood to establish position. However, unlike Anzik who only used force, and violence, Iztik however kept some of their brood alive, but broken and battered, and then established dominance and leadership. Both the blood magick and this notable spark of intellect, more than the average goblin, would see her rise to the rank of Shaman, and even more importantly in recent months, the confidante of Chief Sawtooth. Anzik might be his consort, but it is Iztik whom has his ear and has hands directly on the levers of power within the tribe.

Iztik gained these positions with, at least amongst goblin kind by comparison to the norm, with a strong personality, a sharp mind and of course a notable amount of violence and bloodshed. The tribes older shaman she overpowered in a fight and killed, claiming her bloody hides, the status symbol and the mark of the shaman. However she also has the ears of her people. Whilst Anzik is feared and respected, Iztik is also liked, a rare thing for a goblin, an almost fevered, near spiritual attachment. In some ways she is the voice of the tribe and it is this noted popularity that helps her hold power, even above Anzik in some notable aspect, as the favoritism amongst the warriors of the tribe from top to bottom mean that her support is a pillar to the power Sawtooth holds, even with the other methods and individuals the savvy chieftan has used to secure his position.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Iztik had lead the first two caravan raiding parties, and done so with great skill, honoring Sawtooth's instructions to the letter and listening to Anzik's visions. She retrieved prisoners and the odd bricks, as many as she could find, from each caravan. Recently however as she voiced concerns and a clear disapproval to what Sawtooth intended to attempt to do with those prisoners, she has fallen from some trust, and is no longer in charge of the raiding party, though does have to accompany them. She is now under the authority of one of the Bone-Rattlers, the 'augmented' hobgoblins that Sawtooth's and Anzik's experiments have birthed.

Morality & Philosophy

Tactics in Combat

In a fight, Iztik is quick to empower herself and inspire her fellow goblins, encouraging them to acts of great violence with her simple but effective magicks, often casting Bloodthirst Anthem immediately. She will utilize Thunderous Tempo and Tune if she finds herself engaged by two or more foes in range. She will, fearlessly, but with calculated planning, seek the foe whom looks physically the least capable and attempt to connect the pair of them with the Wrathful Chain spell. When she gets someone chained she will utilize Barbed Aura and Grievous Wounding to attempt a swift, bloody and decisive win. She relies more than Anzik on her magick, combining the blood fueled slaughter magick with talents of a Voice, that is a sort of strangely bardic like magick, though horribly twisted.

Tactics in combat is such a critical aspect of monsters and NPCs in RPG's and it has something that has vanished from most books. It's critical in things like settings bibles too, to keep your own continuity of course, but as a former TV writing teacher told me, write these sort of things as though you were telling a staff writer for your project the rules for the character. It does nothing but add depth and keep more of your story manageable. THANK YOU for taking the time to even think about this, much less document it for others! This is fantastic.

I agree entirely, especially at the very least for adventure material and such which is kind of what this is connected too, an ongoing outline I'm building for a campaign I'm going to run in setting. I don't normally include such a section in my 'bestiary' articles because I'm writing those more from a naturalist's angle, however absolutely on stuff meant for like full on RPG use, they are so critical and I miss them greatly, so absolutely had to include it. :D
