Flora Manipulation

Though animals and people seem easier, which is counterintuitive to most minds, those of the Emerald Order understand that because they are not plants, they require more skill and study to manipulate plants in such a manner. That is why this is such a difficult spell-form.

Effect

Base Effects: Weaving the threads of Dulra, in complex fashions, you target a plant within range. A thicket, a tree, whatever you choose. You manipulate the plant, able to alter it or control behavior in a number of ways. First and foremost you may increase or decrease the size of it by 1 category.

Secondly, you may lash out with the plant in question in any number of ways, depending on the type of plant. A tree would be a bludgeoning blow, a tree limb smashing down at a target within ten feet of it dealing appropriate damage based on its size.

A thicket may lash out with a razor like whip of vine and spines dealing appropriate piercing and poison damage to a target within thirty feet of it, also attempting to restrain them.

Mushrooms or fungus will spew a spore cloud that requires a Toughness Defense Test, inflicting Confusion (1), Toxic (1) and a level of exhaustion as well as 2d6 poison damage. All these are sort of examples, ultimately it will need to be established between you and your GM what is going to be the abilities of the plant you alter and begin to manipulate.

Every round, at the cost of one of your actions, you can choose to manipulate the plant by having it strike out, or shrink or enlarge if you hadn't done this immediately upon casting (or if you wish to undo the one you had done.)

Side/Secondary Effects

Tier II Effects: You may target and effect two plants at the same time in range.

Tier III Effects: You may target and effect three plants at the same time in range.

Manifestation

As she ran, Natalya noted the old oak, and the large nettle plant, its thick and spiny vines wonderfully placed by the path. Swiftly she turned, knowing she needed to buy some time to escape the Ravening Nightmare chasing her. She knew to target it with spells directly would be foolhardy, such foul beings from the Void were so dangerous to Magisters because they fed off the arcane, it empowered them, strengthened them. So she turned swiftly, grabbing the threads of Dulra coming from the oak tree and the nettle bush, weaving a powerful spell-form and empowering it rapidly, She avoided looking to much at the the hellish creature pursuing her, focusing on the plants she was manipulating, as they grew. Swiftly she whipped her hand, and the oak lashed out, a knotted mighty limb hammering into the nightmarish creature's head, even as thick vines lashed out, the spines digging in, ensaring the creature's five legs. Natalya kept her focus as she turned and continued running, praying her companions had not yet abandoned the camp they'd established before beginning this adventure.
