Felling Presence
"They may not like being called 'death mages' but if ye ever seen one in a melee, the name is far more fair and reasonable than they'd ever want to admit. They don't have the skill at arms of a pyromancer, nor the sheer stubborn toughness and tenacity of a geomancer, nor the speed of an aquamancer, nor even the foresight of a aeromancer. But their very presence seems to seep of death, pain and suffering if you stay to close for too long. Best to shoot em dead, if you can."
An Excerpt from a tome The Tactical Study of the Magickal Arts written by a former soldier.
Effect
Basic Effects: Shaping the thick sludge that is the manna of entropy, you create a barely visible purple like ooze that seems to permeate the air all about you and any creature you choose to effect within range. This substance lasts for the duration in the Aether, flashing into the material realm only when any creature with hostile intent is adjacent to any of the affected targets.
Any creature that is hostile towards those whom are affected by this spell-form, if it starts its turn adjacent to such an individual, it is immediately subject to an Agility Defensive Test. If failed, the creature is immediately Restrained and afflicted with 1 level of Exhaustion and takes 2d6 Necrotic Damage. Even if successful, it takes half damage, though it is afflicted by neither condition. Any creature that attempts a melee attack action upon an affected target is also subject to the above effect. This spell-form is not triggered on each individual attack however, only by the action itself (so a creature with methods to hit twice as one action, such as a human braserker with Double Strike, only triggers it once, or a lion using its special Pounce attack ability).
Mortalize: This spell-form instead does 2d10 Force damage to any Constructs, Undead or Nightmares it effects.

Manifestation
There are no words for the terror that can be inspired by a magister of the Amethyst simply wading through a melee, aglow in a purple sludge like mist. There are no words. Only death.
