Personal history
Blanca Tulipa was born on the large island that would later become the nation of Galvaria. She was the eldest daughter of a noble, but as her brother was born, she was barred from inheriting her parents’ vast wealth. Instead she was to be wed to secure an alliance with a rich landlord to the south. She refused and, disowned by her father, she decided to make user of her extensive knowledge of the law. She became the legal advisor of the nephew her father’s competition and from there she slowly improved her position until she eventually became a judge, where she gains the reputation of an erratic but fair judge.
Years later she would retire, and a few years later in an accident her husband would be killed by a young worker. To her satisfaction the young man was sentenced to death and she was, as the law dictated, designated as executioner since she was the offended party.
As she stood on the execution grounds looking into the young man’s eyes she saw only regret, not for his death, but for what he had done. She didn’t wish to kill the man, but the law was clear and the audience unmoving. Neither was permitted to leave until one of them was dead. She used this inaccuracy in the wording of the law and stabbed herself in the heart. As her blood pooled on the ground something strange happened. Her lifeless body began to glow as the marks of time disappeared from her body.
As she awoke she was young again but she realized something. She was still so caught up in her own position, in her opinions, in her prejudice. She took the man she had just spared and brought him to Emeresia, as she realized he would never be able to have a life there. For the next forty years she would wander the world, moving from place to place trying to understand the local people. She only stopped when one day she would confront Diconom Rex. As she talks to him she actually begins to understand him, but realizes that if any of the Avatar were to try to force their ideology onto the world, they would inevitably destroy it. For weeks they discuss and eventually she convinces him to help her. Together they gathered the other Avatar and signed the Treaty of Arlen .
As a part of the treaty Blanca Tulipa would have to define a home territory for herself. She chose her original home and established the nation of Galvaria. After a few years, where she established the council and already removed herself from any practical governing, she created the Knights of Clemency .
