Sol Central Station

Sol Central Station is the name for the large, one-of-a-kind space station in a geosynchronous orbit around Sol. It serves as the 'pseudo-capitol' of the Terran Confederated Republic, with the official assembly locations for both houses of the Federal Congress and The Supreme Court of The Republic being located on board, as well as housing the TCRN's Admiralty Board and boasting a plethora of shipyards and docking platforms.

Amongst all of this governmental and military infrastructure is a surprising amount of civilian life; many corporations have their official headquarters located aboard Sol Central, and vast arrays of habitation blocks, apartments, and condos are located in various areas across the station.

Structure

Sol Central Station's superstructure is divided into clear sections. Each section has a designated purpose, with the exception of the primary hull, which is a general purpose area.

Mezzanine

The station's main dome, known as the Mezzanine, is the largest and most bulbous part of the station. It contains both houses of the Federal Congress, The Supreme Court of The Republic, The Admiralty Board of the Terran Confederated Republic Navy, several corporate headquarters buildings and business parks, as well as a luxury habitation ring. The luxury ring has its own functioning canal, where water-based recreation can take place thanks to artificial gravity. On its exterior, the dome is covered in multiple layers of armor, a sizable point defense network, and several electronic countermeasures controlled from the station's CIC.
