The First Crest
"Decades ago, the Banestress had engaged in the affairs of dark magic, from when she still had a name. She studied the reigns of necromancy, and became a powerful mage. From there, she had called out the services of a demon, a former child of Samael, Sin Embodiment . and had stolen his name. From there, she had enlisted herself into the service of Malus, the Charred Colosuss. It was through her dark magic, that she were able to aid him in slaying an ancient White Dragon, who had spoken out against Malus' stratagem. In return for her help, Malus bestowed upon her the scales of the deceased dragon. They parted their ways afterwards,"The First Crest is an artificial land, made of ice, that lingers beyond the Wayfarers Belt, north of Volutaria. The Banestress, a woman of a name that has been struck from history, had declared The First Crest to be her first victory. The Crests, that surround her solitary domain, are all symbols of the times that the Banestress has emerged victorious against powerful foes. This first example of a victory, whilst not one that she had won on her own, still holds incredible merit. A white dragon, of which she didn't bother to remember the name. The scales of the dragon had made for a great reward, the Banestress having boiled most of them down into elixirs and potions, to fight against extreme temperatures, or the meddling of other dragons. One scale remained, which the Banestress kept, and eventually sealed in an icecube. This single cube was dropped into the ocean, and drifted away. By the next morning, The First Crest had formed, taking the size of a small city, which lingered on the waters.

Without the proper preparations, one could not possibly survive on this small landmass. The frigid landscape, enough, can freeze a human to death. Many have tried coming here, for wisdom, strategy, or other reasons. All of which that have involved themselves with The First Crest have met horrible fates, if they were not properly prepared for the region. Their bodies are all that are left, skulking creatues having to feed off of them, as there are no animals, nor plants, that exist on this island. It is a singular, grand sheet of ice, with few and far changes in its structure.
