Styrgian Tartan
"Take it, go on. I implore you to. If you think, that just by writing it in your small book of laws, that we'll have to do whatever you want - eat your food, rest in your homes, wear your clothes, then live by your rules. No. You could take my tartan, my crest. You won't take me,"Styrgia exists north of the border in Lyndewn with the Wayfarer's Belt. This small region is made of highlands and great expanses of nature and flora. From within, comes the powerful culture of the Styrgian People. Strygia was never one for the urban environment of Lyndewn City, but with the megalopolis growing larger by every day, it was inevitable that their land would become one for the Lyndewnites to inhabit, and to populate with their large buildings. The people of Styrgia were furious, and had began to involve themselves in their own culture at a disproportionate rate. The land was decorated with banners, castles, and simple markets in order to demonstrate how patriotic these people are. From the highest mountains, to the valleys beyond. From the central landmasses, to the coast. All across Styrgia, the most distant region of Lyndewn City, came an outcry of violence. They would stop at nothing, to save their lands.
- Chief Cinneian, declaring his opposition to the city of Lyndewn
This came with the re-emergence of tartan as a suitable choiuce of fashion. The wars that had broken out in Styrgia were all rather simple. Families fighting each other. It was necessary to tell them apart, and so the tartan was used. Fine, interwoven materials to create bright colours and vivid depictions. The tartan had become an icon of a highland warrior, as well as any settlement and region that existed within Styrgia.
