Old Citadel Elfarians

Once the bell rings, the violence of the Citadel increases, and the riots shall occur. Lords will have their lands, and their limbs, split. Fire and ruin will be the only thing that the streets know, and will know, until the bell rings a second time. The second bell ring shall be more destructive. The people that have already gone mad, will worsen. Their flesh shall warp, and begin to match the monsters that rest behind their physical form. They shift, churn and twist into what roams the streets nowadays. The third chime of the bell shall purge them of their monstrous form, and fixate it on one individual,"

Elfar has always had Tortvain as its capital city. The new Tortvain, which rests in the heart of the island, is a modern bastion of greatness and power, ruled by their royals in a state of graciousness to their people. Old Tortvain, however, had been locked in conflicts against mighty foes - one of their most common enemies being dragons. By the time that they had involved themselves in dozens of conflicts - the city had sunk into the Catacombs, a growing maze of destruction, where the dead were buried, and the dark forces of the world linger. The dark caverns and open chasms had caused Old Tortvain to split in two. In the northern region, the castle and royal grounds had snapped away, and got frozen in Mount Koude, where it still resides.   With the lack of nobles, the very few survivors in the citadel had developed a new system of control, one led through power and religious doctrine. The citadel was filled with cathedrals, churches, and shrines. This led to a minor theocracy being implemented, by the likes of Mandias, a spider monstrosity, and Tribune Saegar, a reanimated mage who hadn't reached lichdom.
