Nyx's Constellation

"and from the pit below his island, Nyx's hands had risen, and caused the sky to turn black. Day, to night. No longer was Malus the darkest figure in the sky, for the suns had been coated. Darkness stood still, and bellowed out in anger. Malus' life was to come to an end,"

- Chthonia's return, as told by the scholars of the Thevagon Isles.
Nyx, the mother of the night, is a Chthonian being that had once been considered a well-known goddess in Old Aitso. Her time as a powerful, primordial personification had meant that many were worshipping her, with or without their awareness. Pondering the night had been considered a form of subtle worship, and so Nyx was considered one of the most powerful beings in cultural pantheons. Despite her omission from the new pantheon, and banishment to Chthonia, Nyx had still retained all of the power that she had amassed, until that moment. Despite losing out on centuries of worship, Nyx still proved to hold enough power to rival the New Gods in strength. The Gods should consider them thankful that Nyx only concerns herself with the night, and not much else.
After the work of the Coalition, in Chthonia, the divine beings, once shackled and left to roam the old afterlife, had been able to free themselves. Melinoë, Goddess of Nightmares , was one of the first to ascend to Aitso. In the campaign to slay Malus, the Charred Colossus, the Nightmare goddess was eager to aid any adventurers that she grew fond of. By the end of the war, there was aid from the Furies, the personification of sleep, Hypnos, and, of course, Nyx.
