Lake Oldir

  Lake Oldir, named after the Oldir lineage of the Bishops that resided in the Citadel, was formed when the roof of the cavern that the Citadel resides in had broken apart. Due to unknown reasons, to the Elfarians of Old Tortvain Citadel, the roof had shattered, causing large pieces of rock and raw metal to collapse. The large expanse of terrain that existed next to the citadel, where the heart of Old Tortvain City used to be before the city was split, was completely ruined, forming a large crater. This isn't to say that the Citadel was unharmed, during this time. Plenty of buildings, notably churches for peaceful gods that had large, sprawling basements, or towers that had pierced the strange clouds and nearly broke through the roof. The true reasn for Lake Oldir's creation, was because of a demon that fully embodied sin, known as Beelzebub.  The veins that linger across the underground systems of Elfar, especially around the Citadel, were all created by Beelzebub. This makes him the source of both the crater, and the lake that had become known as Lake Oldir.  
  Lake Oldir itself had been formed when veins of water had trickled down from Elfar, eventually building up in the crater as time continued to pass on, forming a clear lake. The water cannot be drunk, however, according to the lords of the Citadel, as they come from above themselves. They are afraid that the liquid is polluted by whatever lingers above them. 
  Mandias, Dean of the Citadel lives within the lake. A small pocket dimension, between the ripples, holds the spider monstrosity for all of eternity. Anyone else may enter or leave whenever they desire - but Mandias is sealed away as punishment ofr his form. That does not stop his followers from finding him, though. The collaboration of mad Elfarians who live in the Citadel, cursed with many diseases and conditions, alongside the machinations of a dying Spider pseudo-god, has resulted in new creatures being formed from the human cultists. Arachnid features can be found in many people who are considered shady or crooked, due to Mandias' meddling.
